When Shark came up with the Rocket Series to challenge Dyson to the 2-in-1 stick niche, but there was one big problem—she had a wire.
And while the wire does provide some additional power, the wire is a major limitation and inconvenience to some.

So Shark went back to the drawing board and created the ION Rocket series. This time they cut the cord and now have a high-capacity lithium-ion battery that works for up to 30 minutes.
It may have a design similar to dyson wireless, But it does not have a launcher.
All buttons are on the back of the vacuum cleaner, so you won’t tire your fingers when you pull it.
This is the cheaper version subordinate IONFlex Shark Series It has a DuoClean header if you don’t want to spend upwards of $300 to $450 for the higher end wireless.

What do you expect from the Shark ION Rocket IR101?
I was very impressed with the technology behind the Shark Rocket series. From the first generation, stick with the latest HV382 with Duo Clean.
What was missing was the wireless alternative that would have freed him from the shackles of a wire.
And now the wait is over thanks to the ION Rocket IR101.
The ION Rocket IR101 has the same construction as the IONFlex but minus the DuoClean system with the soft roller bar up front. This cordless machine only has the bristle brush, so it won’t perform well on an open floor.
All Dyson cordless vacuums from the early DC35 to the latest V11 use a trigger mechanism. And while Shark copied architecture, he added his own flavor. With the IR101, Shark has something unique…
This is the interface, and it will look better if you compare it to some positions in the market. It looks like a touch screen interface with four different options – bare floor mode, carpet mode, normal suction, and max suction mode.
Again, this is proof that Shark is doing everything she can to try to catch up with Dyson, and this design is impressive.
Like the Dyson V8, Hoover Cruise, Dibea C17 and many others with the same design, the Shark IR101 has the same kind of versatility.
So we have to thank Dyson or Innovation and Shark for being bold enough to challenge them.
Interchangeable tools and a removable wand make it all possible. Combine that with a lithium-ion battery that runs for about 30 minutes. You have an excellent tool for cleaning the areas around your home.
These tools include the Pet Multi-Tool, Duster Crevice Tool, and Anti-Allergen Dust Brush which are a godsend for people who have a hard time cleaning under furniture.
This is a picture of a hypoallergenic dusting brush.
You will notice how thin the tool is and will fit into furniture with a low opening.
To aid visibility, this vacuum cleaner has two LED strips to illuminate the path and help you track dust.
washable foam filter
Like all Shark vacuums, the IR101 comes with a washable foam filter. This is not the same as the one on a Dyson that has a pre-engine HEPA filter. The filtration will not be as good as the Dyson, so you will have to wash the filter often.
Full anti-allergic seal
Although there is no pre-engine HEPA filter, this one has an anti-allergic post-engine filter.
So if you have any allergies, this is very safe to use. But note that you are still exposed to dust when you empty it.
Removable Li-ion Battery
Shark comes with a removable lithium-ion battery. What makes this product special is that you can charge it with a plug on the vacuum cleaner or unplugged.
This is great when buying a second battery because you can charge the battery while using the vacuum cleaner.
Shark isn’t clean in terms of uptime, but according to reviews, it’s anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes. If you use it in bare floor mode, the operating time will be longer.
smart response technology
Another great feature is the smart response technology which detects the type of floor and automatically adjusts the brush roll speed.
So if you’re running this on a bare floor, the brush stroke won’t spin as fast. But when you move to the carpet, it spins faster for better stimulation.
However, this vacuum lacks the DuoClean feature found in IONFlex, so don’t expect the same performance.
bare floor performance
This vacuum cleaner will have enough suction and agitation to pick up dirt on the bare floor. But you can say, “Garrick, why did you say it wouldn’t perform like IONFlex”?
The most important difference between DuoClean brushes and a standard bristle brush is how they handle larger bits of dirt.
This is what separates the Dyson V8 Absolute series and Shark DuoClean from the rest. If you have a big pile of dirt, these two brands have smooth cylindrical heads that pull out dirt.
For the usual everyday mess, the ION Rocket will have just enough suction and excitement to do the job.
One specific tool you will find useful is the appliance wand that cleans under low furniture.
First things first, don’t expect this broom to deeply clean carpets. Its main function is to clean high-traffic areas and prevent tamper build-up.
Its compact design allows it to clean deep under furniture. The cleaning head and wand can reach 180 degrees. Add a LED headlight, and you can pick up a lot of dust.
Upholstery cleaning shouldn’t be a problem with the Pet Multi Tool which is great for cleaning hair and dirt on fabric sofas or chairs.
You can even use it on flat surfaces inside your car. It also comes with a crevice tool to clean up loose dirt.

What do consumers say
In terms of reviews, this product has arrived so far, and this product looks promising. A lot of people like the compact and lightweight design as well as being wireless, so nothing gets in the way.
But as with all stick brooms that use a similar design, this one is heavy on top because the motor and container sit on top.
The power is enough for quick cleaning and does 80% of what a vertical machine does.
Operating time will vary; If you don’t run the max, it will run anywhere between 20-30 minutes.
Some have reported as low as 10 minutes, so there might be a battery issue, but you can easily claim a warranty on that.
If a Dyson or IONFlex is too expensive, this is an excellent alternative as it has decent power, uptime and enough tools to do many tasks in your home and car.
Where do you buy this?
You can buy this cordless from Amazon Under $110. And you’ll be eligible for free 2-day shipping if you join Prime.
Extended warranties are also available for up to 3 years if you want that extra peace of mind.
This lightweight and versatile vacuum cleaner is another great alternative to an expensive vacuum Dyson V6 and V8 Series. It comes with a removable battery that you can charge the vacuum cleaner on or off. So if you buy an extra battery, you can still charge it while using the vacuum cleaner.
I’ve never seen this kind of flexibility in a wireless device before, so here’s another Shark thumbs up for this one. It doesn’t have the soft roller bar found in the DuoClean version, but it works well enough. And if you consider the $200++ price difference, I think you’d be fine without it.
One handy tool is the hypoallergenic dusting brush that looks a lot like the bottom machine tool. This will work great in hard-to-reach areas under furniture. Overall, this looks like a good buy at the current price point.

The Shark ION Rocket IR101 Vacuum Cleaner is one of the cheapest Shark cordless vacuums available today. Unfortunately, Shark has discontinued production, so the ones you’ll see for sale are used refurbished vacuum cleaners, so I wouldn’t recommend buying this option. It doesn’t have a Duo Clean system, so don’t expect it to perform as well as the newer Shark cordless stick vacuums like the ION P50 and F80 which I recommend before this model.
