Shark has been busy developing new products, and this new product is another innovation from their lab.
They were the first to use a “lift” system that separated the container and the frame to extend the reach.
The next upgrade is the “Powered Lift-Away” feature, where Shark engineers designed a product in such a way that it functions as both a vertical and a case.
They did this by separating the frame, container, and floor tool, so with the push of a button, the container detached from the frame but with the hose still attached to the floor tool.
The next innovation was the DuoClean system which combined a soft roller head (similar to Dyson V6) and a bristle brush.
Lightweight upright to clean floors thoroughly
The Shark DuoClean Powered Lift-Away, the NV803 model, is a lighter option than the straight-line Shark APEX at just 14.5 pounds. It is one of the most popular Shark slates because it is lighter but still retains the advantage of electric lift as the main cleaning head is still usable even in the lift position. The DuoClean brush roll is one of the best innovations, in my opinion, because it is able to pick up fine dust into large bits of dirt on carpets and bare floors. Shark has patented this technology, and you won’t find it in other brands. This feature is found in modern stick and stick brooms and is one of the best at picking up surface dirt.
The Shark DuoClean Powered Lift-Away combines all of these features in one package and is the latest in its line.
It has the same engine Rocket Powered Far Lift System (NV752), But a dual brush system will do better in cleaning larger bits of dirt.
This means that it will provide better abrasion on both carpet and bare floors, especially large pieces of debris.
All these improvements comes at a price, Is it worth the added cost?

What do you expect from the latest upright shark?
Shark calls this the most advanced straight vacuum yet.
It combines the latest features found in all other Rotator series products rolled into one.
Similar to NV752
In terms of features, this product is similar to Circular Air Lift (NV752) Allows you to use the main cleaning head in canister mode.
This new product adds a DuoClean feature that includes two robotic brushes – a soft roller and a bristle brush that improves agitation.
To see a glimpse of this product, please watch this video recorded by V-Blogger Ibaisaic. You will see features, assembly and cleaning test.
According to the review, this vacuum cleaner uses an 850W motor and an 80W nozzle. The poster says it will consume 33.5 kWh per year and produce 84.8 decibels of noise.
The filtration is excellent because it has an A rating. This means that allergens down to 0.3 microns will remain inside the trash, but since then This is without bags There will be some exposure to dust when emptying it.
In terms of performance, it has a C rating for picking up dust on hard floors and carpets. This is considered above average because the rating lies between A and G.
New cleaning head
The most significant upgrade in the Powered LiftAway DuoClean will be the cleaning head.
Instead of a bristle brush, it now uses the DuoClean system, which combines a soft roller and a bristle brush.
Shark has added a security feature in this product that is not found in older variants. With the cap removed, this vacuum cleaner will not turn on.
It is easy to clean these two bars of the beater as it pops up easily. It even comes with a tool that helps cut the hair wrapped around the bristle brush. It has a grooved part where you can slide the blade to remove any hard casing around.
The soft roller brush is washable and will do just fine, drawing not only large debris but also fine dust onto bare floors.
Here is a view of the cleaning head brushes.
Apart from the soft roller and the bristle brush, it also has two side brushes for cleaning the edges. But you will notice that there is a large gap on the left side (about 2 inches) while there is a small gap on the right side.
So this machine will do well in terms of cleaning the edges on one side only.
To remove the dirt container, press the latch on the handle. One feature I like is that it has two doors – one on the bottom and one on the top.
This feature makes it easier and less messy to vacuum up the dust that sticks to the plastic cover.
It has a smaller chest compared to Liftaway NV752 (0.9 vs. 1.4 dry liters).
Washable filter and HEPA filter
Underneath the dustbin are two washable filters that Shark recommends washing every three months. Remember that the time interval will also depend on the environment around you. If you live in a dusty area, the frequency may increase.
It has two pre-drive filters – one made of foam and one made of felt. These two are washable.
Tip: buy Extra filter So you can still use the vacuum cleaner while waiting for the other filters to dry.
It also comes with a HEPA filter for the post-engine.
Shark says this filter is also washable but not often — once every nine months or so.
Handling and control
In the handle, there is a slide switch to switch between carpet and hard floors. Underneath is a suction control lever that allows you to control the airflow and regulate the suction.
There are three settings: hard floor, low pile, and high pile carpet. In hard floor mode, only the soft roller rotates while the primary brush roller does not. The rug setting has the two brushes that rotate with variations in airflow, depending on whether it’s on a high pile or low pile setting.
The Duo Clean Head works best on carpets because the dual brush system pushes the cleaning head forward, so there will be no problems when cleaning lighter area rugs.
Even in a vertical position, moving this broom around the furniture will be easy thanks to the swivel steering.
won’t do that Be as flexible as Dyson, But it’s up to her with the Lift-Away feature.
In this mode, you can use it as a cylinder broom to clean areas like this.
Not many listings can boast of a range like this despite Bissell copying this design into their new products. The narrow cleaning head will be better for getting around tight spaces, so you won’t need to move the furniture as often.
Another neat feature is the LED headlights that will help track down nearly invisible dust and dirt, hardwood and low-light areas under furniture.
The staircase area is one of the most difficult areas to clean in the house. Depending on the layout of your home, it would be impossible to clean these areas with a pole or wand.
But LiftAway DuoClean Powered made this possible in a case setting with the hose detached from the wand and mounted directly to the powered floor tool.
And not even Dyson verticals have this variety. Well, maybe the V8 Absolute can do it, but it’s cordless, and this vacuum is much cheaper.
What comes inside the box?
Shark comes with a set of tools that will clean almost any area inside your home and vehicle.
- Pet Multi Tool
- Duster Crevice Tool
- Under the device stick
- pet power brush
- Accessory bag (to store)
The older LiftAway Shark Rotator Powered comes with a separate tool for exposed floors. This is not because it actually has a dual brush feature with the soft roller on top.
Can this new floor tool pick up well, or is it just noise?
The mess you see has dust, dog biscuits, rice, and all the nasty things you’re likely to encounter on a daily basis.
After one pass back and forth, I was able to pick up almost 100% of all the dirt strewn on the tiles. The agitation is so good that it may pick up debris on the plaster.
The soft roller did a great job of pulling dirt toward the inlet and not the snowplow. It makes it more efficient in terms of cleaning larger debris than a traditional low-pit floor tool.
Will Shark’s DuoClean System be effective in cleaning up big messes on carpet?
After one swipe, this is what it will look like next.
The induction is impressive because he was able to pick up a huge pile of chaos after just one pass.
The soft rotating brush did an excellent job of picking up large clumps of dirt, something that a bristle brush might leave behind.
The floor tool also has a higher opening thanks to the cylinder, so big bits of dirt won’t flow forward.
DuoClean will work fine, Picking up pet hair On a bare floor or carpet. And with the ability to attach the handle directly to the main cleaning head, you’ll have no trouble brushing pet hair on carpeted stairs.
It also comes with a Powered Pet Brush which will do just fine, picking up pet hair on fabric upholstery. No motor (air powered only).
The tool did an excellent job of picking up pet hair on the ottoman, but most of it was wrapped around the brush.
This is a common problem with such tools, but cleaning is easy because it is easy to open. So you’ll have easy access just in case you need a deep cleaning.

Three things to consumers like – (1) versatility, (2) strength, and (3) light weight. Based on current reviews, Shark has changed the way consumers think about uprisings.
Lots of upright vacuums are heavy, bulky and just clean. Even if some have a hose and wand, they are usually short and unusable after the sofa has been cleaned.
When you combine Power Away with DuoClean technology, you get a versatile vacuum cleaner and a great cleaner.
It may not match brands like Miele or Rainbow in terms of strength, but the versatility makes up for it. And consumers love this variety.
I’d call this Dyson upright vacuum cleaner because of the level of interchangeability.
It has enough tools to clean almost every nook and cranny in your home. You can remove the handle from the stick and attach it directly to the floor tool. This tool allows you to clean carpeted stairs.
Assembly is easy thanks to the locking mechanism that clicks. The build quality is reliable, and the instruction manual is easy to follow.
One consumer complained about the narrow cleaning path he measured at 9 inches. But the small head means it will fit in tighter areas better at the expense of coverage.
Another review said this didn’t look as good on the rug as Dyson Synch Which produces much more energy. But remember that shark is much cheaper and more versatile, so this negates the difference in performance.
You may need to empty more often because it has a smaller container compared to the previous Rotator formula.
Does Shark DuoClean NV803 Offer Good Value?
When it comes to value for money, the Shark DuoClean NV803 has a lot on the table. In my opinion, the DuoClean system is one of the best at picking up dirt thanks to its soft roller and brush set with bristles that not only capture large debris, but also clean fine dust. No other list has this kind of versatility when it comes to cleaning floors. It may not be as powerful as the Dyson Ball Animal 2 when it comes to deep cleaning carpets, but it blows it away when it comes to cleaning hard floors. The electric lift feature allows cleaning of areas that other vertical vacuums cannot, such as the spaces under the bed or sofa. And when you consider that this is cheaper than other high-quality options like the Miele U2 and Dyson Cinectic Ball it makes a compelling choice thanks to its great cleaning performance all around.
4 reasons to consider the Shark DuoClean NV803
- Proficient at cleaning small to large debris: The DuoClean head of the NV803 works well at picking up surface dirt no matter if it’s carpet or hard floor. Not only will it pick up large bits of rubbish, but it will also dust the floors and pick up bits of sand.
- reasonably priced: It’s priced between the entry-level and high-end vertical options around the $260 range, which is a bargain, in my opinion, considering its versatility and scrubbing ability.
- Sealed filtration: The NV803 is one of the cheapest options with a closed system. If this is a concern for you, this is an excellent option.
- Extended Warranty: Shark offers a 5-year warranty on all of its upright vacuums.

Shark has done it again with the DuoClean Powered LiftAway. They have been able to improve on an already excellent product with the Rotator NV752 by adding the dual brush system in the main cleaning head.
This technology improves irritation on exposed floors and carpets. It will clean not only fine particles of dirt but also large pieces. The soft, rotating brush does a good job of drawing dirt toward the entrance and not the snowplow.
It’s a very good idea for Shark to ask consumers to remove any wires because it will try to pick them up. This is how good agitation is.
Filtration is also excellent thanks to the “Hypoallergenic Complete Sealant” and HEPA post-engine filter. All filters are washable, so you may want to purchase an extra set to avoid any downtime waiting for it to dry.

The Shark NV803 DuoClean is an excellent choice for people who are looking for a pole that can clean a lot of dirt on carpets and hard floors. It has the DuoClean system, which is one of the best at picking up surface dirt regardless of size and quantity. An electric lift system and attachments give this product plenty of reach and versatility. Not only will it clean floors, but it can also clean upholstery and stairs. It’s a less expensive option than the Dyson in portrait mode and will perform better on a bare floor — compelling reason enough for me to consider it.
