Jashen V16 Review and Test

Posted on May 14, 2022May 27, 2022 by admin

Jashen may not be a household name, but he should be on watchlists of people searching for a file Cordless Vacuum Cleaner Just as ingenious as Dyson.

The V16 is one of two options in their V-Series line that also includes the V18.

It’s the cheaper alternative, but with the same motor, battery, and dirt-ability. The only difference between these two is that the V18 has a dirt sensor, while the V16 doesn’t.

In this review, we will find out if the Jashen V16 is a good option or better than other brands in its price range, such as the popular MOOSOO cordless vacuum cleaner.

Excellent economical cordless vacuum cleaner on hard floors and carpets

Jashen V16 Review

The Jashen V16 is a handful of cordless vacuums in this price range that come with both a soft roller and a standard brush roller.

And it’s the only one I’ve seen so far with an adjustable gate that allows users to manually change the clearance.

This feature alone makes the V16 an excellent choice for cleaning hard floors and carpets. Adjustability allows small and large dirt particles to be captured without pushing them forward.

The stiff bristles on a standard brush roller help move carpet threads, making it one of the Best Deep Cleaning Options in the Sub$200 Band.

Introduction to Jashen V16

At first glance, the Jashsen V16 . may look like Any wire-free stick productIt does, however, have some neat convenience features that we’ll take a look at one by one upon closer inspection.

adjustable clearance

the front of Cleaning nozzle rotates up and downgiving users the ability to adjust clearance as needed.

Jashen V16 portal is open

move it Allows large particles of dirt Like Cheerios and Fruit rings to match.

Jashen V16 gate closed

Closing it gives it a better seal for Cleaning the dirt on the carpet.

This is the first time I’ve seen this feature on a vacuum cleaner in this price range.

The only other product that has something similar is Dyson V10 and V11but the Jashen V16 is unique in that the entire row is movable, not just a small part.

All-plastic construction with rounded edges, so there is little risk of furniture scuffing.

two brushes

Jashen V16 main cleaning head

I also love the brush attachments – A Soft roller tape for hard floors and Standard bristle brush for carpets.

The combination of convertible brushes and an adjustable gate makes the V16 a versatile product capable of thoroughly cleaning hard floors and carpets.

One problem with stiff bristles is their tendency to push dirt forward, but they work well on small pieces of debris like pet litter and sand.

I don’t recommend Use it on hard floors The harsh bristles can scratch hardwood.

It’s easy to swap out elbows with the quick-release latch that accentuates the brush.

Detachable Li-ion Battery

Jashen V16 Detachable Battery

Jashen V16 has 7 cells, 2500mAh, 25.2V Li-ion removable battery. I hope more manufacturers will follow suit The presence of a detachable battery that is easy to replace If something goes wrong.

Jashen sells replacement batteries on her Amazon page. Keep in mind that the V16 and V18 use the same Samsung battery which, according to the manufacturer, will have good longevity and minimal fading even after years of use.

How long does Jashen V18 run?

Jashen claims a V16 engine for up to 40 minutesso to test if it was accurate, I let the motor run with one of the included non-powered tools at the lowest setting.

crossed the forty-minute mark 44 minutes and 50 seconds, to be exact.

Below are the full results of the runtime tests.

adjust power Little Medium / Auto Average
Suction tool only 44:50 minutes Unavailable 20:11 minutes
main cleaning head 38:51 minutes 21:34 minutes 7:14 minutes

Since the battery is detachable, you can buy an extra battery to double the runtime.

Smart LED Display

Jashen V16 LED Display

Behind the battery is an LED display that displays the chosen power setting, battery status, and tells you when to clean the filter.

This is the only model in the sub-$200 range with an LED display.

Mind you, it doesn’t look as pretty as the screen on Dyson V11 or Tineco Pure One S12but something practical and easy to read, so I give Jashen extra points for adding this feature.

Dual charging base

This model has a dual charging base that can charge the vacuum cleaner as well as an additional battery. It also has additional slots to store two other accessories.

Know that the V16 comes with only one battery out of the box, so you have to do it Buy an extra battery to use this slot.

I’m a fan of Jeshen adding this feature, which saves time. This feature is not available on most other manufacturers, except for Tineco, which is a more expensive option.

LED lamp

Jashen V16 LED Headlights

At the top of the nozzle are three LED headlights that help users track dirt in low visibility areas.

Since it only has three bulbs, it isn’t As bright as Shark ION P50 With six bulbs, but I believe the adjustable gate made it necessary to move the bulb to this area.

How much power does Jeshen V18 have?

Not all RF manufacturers use the same power detection unit, so comparing suction can be confusing.

For greater uniformity, I use an anemometer to measure airflow in two areas – the main cleaning head and the wand.

Air flow refers to the amount of air passing through the area in which it is measured.

Based on my experience, vacuum cleaners with high air flow tend to do well at deep cleaning carpets.

But other factors such as the design of the brush roller play a role.

Here are the results.

Although the V16 has decent airflow numbers, it’s not quite as good as the more premium options, but it’s not entirely reliable.

Since one of the attachments has a soft roller, it does not require a high air flow to pick up debris.

However, the stiff bristles on a standard brush roll play an important role in why it performed so well in our deep cleaning test (more on that below).

Ergonomics and maneuverability

The V16 weighs just over 5 pounds – Not as light as Roborock H6but it’s lighter than the Dyson V11.

It is not very light, but it is light enough to be widely used on floors or cleaning upholstery without causing arm fatigue.

The absence of the trigger helps in this area because finger fatigue will not be a problem.

Decent routing. Expect the same agility as Tineco when it comes to avoiding furniture.

But I feel it lacks Dyson’s feedback. Do not steer sharply.

Dust cup capacity and design

V16 has a removable dust cup that can hold Up to 500ml of dry dirt.

You can remove the entire filter assembly and wash it.

The HEPA filter is of good size, and its washability helps extend its service life.

Avoid overfilling the container as dirt will spill out from the suction port and out of the vacuum if debris crosses the fill line line.

Attachments and tools

Out of the box, you’ll get these tools – a total of three additional top floor cleaning attachments, along with the dual charging base and extension wand.

Jashen Tools V16

This is what you get out of the box

  1. Jashen V16 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner
  2. Main cleaning head with attached soft roller
  3. Extension stick or tube
  4. Standard brush roll
  5. small turbo brush
  6. collection tool
  7. slit tool
  8. Dual charging base
  9. Manual and quick start guide

I think it’s a very generous set of tools considering this model is almost in the budget range.

It also has a small turbo brush that allows people to thoroughly clean fabric upholstery and mattresses.

Jashen’s different options: V16 vs V18

There are two different options available, and the table below shows their similarities and differences.

How does Jashen V16 clean?

Jashen V16 is a versatile product capable of cleaning floors and areas above it.

With interchangeable tools and a detachable wand, it offers some flexibility when configuring the configuration.

You can use it as a handheld or wand vacuum cleaner. Its length is sufficient to clean cobwebs from ceilings less than 9 feet.

With that said, its primary purpose is to clean floors like a vacuum cleaner.

You do this with two interchangeable tools that pick up dirt off hard floors and carpets.

Just behind the brush roller are two rubber wheels that reduce friction.

The adjustable gate provides an option to vary the amount of clearance depending on what needs to be cleaned.

cleaning performance

Jashen V16 has put through our standard cleaning tests on various types of debris, such as Quaker oats, coffee grounds, quinoa and pet litter.

I’ve also tested on hard-to-clean sand and large objects like chiaros and fruit rings.

Finally, I did a hair wrap test to see how tangle-resistant both brushes are.

Here are the scores.

  • Total: 96.18%
  • Solid ground: 99.55%
  • Carpet (pick up surface): 98.57%
  • Carpet (deep cleaning): 87%

Hard Floor Cleaning Test

I tested the V16 on Quaker oats, coffee, quinoa, and pet litter to see how well it picks up on hard surfaces, and it performed very well, achieving nearly 100% in almost all tests.

Please note that I used the lowest setting on this surface and had no problems picking up debris.

The soft roller kicks forward some debris like quinoa and small pets but picks them up on subsequent passes.

  • Quaker Oats: 99.4%
  • coffee: 99.2%
  • Quinoa: 100%
  • pet litter: 99.6%

Cheerios and fruit rings test

Jashen V16 Fruit Cleaning Rings

Cleaning the Fruit Rings and Cheerios will not be a problem with the Jashen V16.

The soft-roller attachment was able to capture all of the Cheerios and Fruit episodes on the front lane with the gate fully open.

Note that cleaning up a lot of large debris can block the path to the dust cup.

But it’s not something you’ll encounter on a daily basis, so I don’t think that would be an issue for most people.

Sand test on hard floor

One of the V16’s best features is the soft-cylinder attachment. It was almost perfect in this test, You get a rate of 99.6% (50g of sand) in two tests.

The best part is that it scores this high on the lowest power setting, picking up the most sand on the front pass!

If you live in a sandy area and are looking for a stick-able vacuum cleaner for under $200, this model is an excellent Dyson alternative.

carpet cleaning test

The standard brush did not disappoint when cleaning carpets. She was able to pick up a high percentage of the debris that she scattered on her. One problem with the stiff bristles is that they kick forward large pieces of dirt like fruit rings and Cheerios.

Jashen V16 Low Lint Carpet Cleaning

However, it was better for small particles of dirt like quinoa and pet litter.

I divided the test on the carpet into two categories – a surface-cleaning test on a low and medium pile carpet, and then another built-in sand test on a medium pile carpet.

Low stack test results

The V16 was able to run very well on low-pile carpeting, as it was picked up in the high ’90s. She kicked things like quinoa and pet litter forward but could pick them up on subsequent passes.

  • Quaker Oats: 99.6%
  • coffee: 99.8%
  • Quinoa: 100%
  • pet litter: 98.8%

Mid-stack test results

The V16 did the worst on medium pile carpets, but the results are still great, bottoming out at 94% – and the result is still excellent.

  • Quaker Oats: 99%
  • coffee: 97.4%
  • Quinoa: 100%
  • pet litter: 94%

deep cleaning test

Sand is one of the hardest things to clean on carpets.

To check how well the V16’s engine was deep cleaning, I rubbed 100g of sand on a medium-pile carpet and ran the vacuum on the highest power setting to see how much it picks up.

V16 . engine They got an average of 87% in three testswhich is a premium grade, and one of the best for vacuum cleaners under $200.

Edge cleaning test

I also tested how the V16 cleans up edges and crevices. For this experiment, I spread pet droppings over a corner of the room a quarter inch deep from the crack to see how much it collects.

This is a before and after picture.

Jashen V16 Edge Cleaning Test

As you can see, it scattered a bit on the edges, and the V16 was able to pick up just about everything. Even debris that fell into the crevice was able to pick up, so edge cleaning is excellent.

hair wrap test

The last test that I will share with you is the hair wrap test. In this experiment, I spread 1 gram of human hair (5 to 7 inches long) on hard floors and carpets to see how much it would wrap around a soft roller and standard brush roller.

This is how much hair is wrapped around the soft roller.

Jashen V16's hair wrapped on the soft roller

And this was the hair that was rolled up on the standard brush roll.

Jashen V16 hair coiled on standard brush roll

The good news is that most of the hair went inside the dust container in the two tests.

Here’s the amount of hair that got into the carpet after cleaning it.

Results in the Hard Floor Hair Rolling Test – How much hair went into the trash.

However, if someone in your household has long hair, checking and cleaning your brush regularly should be part of your maintenance routine.

noise level

I used a sound meter to measure noise from a few meters away from a vacuum, and here are the results of that test.

  • Little: 70.1 dB
  • middle: 72.7 dB
  • Average: 76.6 dB

It can be quite loud if you use the maximum setting.

Does Jashen V16 Offer Good Value?

The short answer is yes! When you take into account above-average runtime, excellent cleaning performance, a large selection of attachments, and a low price point, the V16 scores highly when it comes to value for money.

May not contain file bells and whistles Tineco Pure One S12.500 mAh Or the Dyson V11, but when it comes to most important, cleaning the house, you won’t be disappointed.

There are some quirks in the steering, but they’re fine, and I don’t see any significant issues overcoming the snags.

5 Reasons Why You Should Choose Jashen V16

  1. Excellent cleaning performance: It scored high marks across the board when cleaning different types of dirt.
  2. Great value for money: You will get a lot for your dollar with this product. It comes with enough accessories to clean the whole house and cleans floors well.
  3. Deep clean carpets: Perhaps the biggest surprise to me is how well this product performed in our deep cleaning test.
  4. Removable battery: The ability to replace the battery helps extend the service life of this product.
  5. Availability of parts: Replacement parts such as battery, brush roller and tools are readily available on Jashen’s Amazon page.

Verdict: One of the best sub options out there – $200

One of the biggest surprises for me was how well the V16 performed in almost all of our cleaning tests.

She was able to clean various debris from fine sand to large bits of fruit rings without any major concerns at all.

Sure, there have been cases of clogging when cleaning a lot of fruit and spice rings, but it’s a common pitfall for most stick vacuums.

But the overall performance is positive.

It’s not perfect, but it’s one option I’m considering if you’re looking for a vacuum cleaner under $200 with features not available in other products at this price point.

One of the best options under $200 for cleaning hard floors and carpets

  • Work environment – 92%
  • Surface cleaning – 99.24%
  • deep cleaning – 87%
  • Quality – 94%
  • Design – 92%
  • Values - 98%

  • TOTAL AVERAGE: 94%

summary

I’ll be honest with you, when I first tested the Jashen V16, I wasn’t expecting much when it came to cleaning performance. But this cordless vacuum cleaner performed well in most of the tests I did. It is able to clean various types of debris such as small sand particles to very large objects such as fruit rings. Yes, it does clog, but most sticky vacuum cleaners will clog if you scrub too much. The uptime is decent, and what they offer for the price is very generous to me. If you are looking for a vacuum cleaner under $200, this is an excellent option to consider.
