The Linx Stick B50010 was one of Hoover’s best products to date in terms of consumer satisfaction. With over 8000 reviews and counting, performance was never a question mark.
However, the biggest problem will be the short run time. With the brush on, it will only work for 10 minutes. Minus the brush roll, this number goes up by only 5 minutes.
This is my biggest Achilles heel for what would have been a great product.
Enter the Commercial TaskVac CH20110. It’s basically a Linx B50010 with a heavy-duty baffle and a battery that will last a lot more than the non-commercial variant.
Another upgrade is the extra filter that comes in the package. Unfortunately, the warranty is short to only one year.
But if you need something that will last longer than a Linx Stick, this might be a good option if you don’t mind a job that isn’t above a floor-cleaning job.

What do you expect from the Hoover Commercial TaskVac CH20010?
The Hoover Commercial TaskVac is a slightly better version of the Linx Stick B50010. Aside from this commercial version being more similar to the non-commercial version, expect the same performance.
Be sure to read my review of the Linx Stick and find out why it has remained popular despite the competition from the newer brands Shark and Dyson.
Table of Contents
wind tunnel technology
This is the same Wind Tunnel technology found in the Linx Stick which is responsible for the cleaning performance.
It’s just a fancy term for the brush roller used but what I love is how the design allows both small and large debris to pass through without shoveling snow.
Finger tip controls on the handle
The brush roller’s on/off switch is easily accessible thanks to the fingertip controls on the handle.
You can switch between the bare floor (the brush roller is closed) and the carpet mode (the brush roller is on).
Note that if you turn on the brush, the run time will decrease.
18 volt lithium ion battery
This replacement comes with an 18V lithium-ion battery. It is not built-in, so you do not need to bring it to a service center just to change the battery.
Hoover hasn’t revealed uptime numbers but it’s around 15-30 minutes if you look at the reviews.
bottom release dirt cup
Emptying the container is a breeze thanks to the detachable dirt cup with a trap door at the bottom. This makes the unpacking process much easier and less messy.
washable filter
This broom comes with a washable filter as well as an extra filter so that you can continue to use the broom while the other filter dries.
rubber wheels
Hoover also put on rubber wheels that reduce the risk of scratching hard floors.
bare floor performance
This stick broom will have no problems cleaning a bare floor whether suctioning tile or hardwood will not be a problem. And you don’t have to worry about the brush roller scratching the hardwood because there is an option to turn it off.
Watch this short video to see how It does on hard wood Low pile carpet…
At least from the clip above, TaskVac has been able to pick up most surface dirt on the floor. At least on an exposed floor, this electric stick will have more than enough power to pick up dirt.
carpet performance
Don’t expect this to replace a true vertical as it lacks power and excitement. This product shines as a cleaner in between deep cleaning cycles as it will help prevent dirt buildup.
The cordless feature allows you to clean anywhere indoors. It has enough stirring and suction to pick up large and small surface dirt. But it is limited to cleaning only low-pile carpets. If your home has a thicker pile rug, you may want to consider something with more strength like Shark Rocket or Oreck Magnesium.
These options are still light enough but have wires so they have more strength when you click on them.

Consumer Reviews
Two things consumers love about this vacuum cleaner – it’s lightweight and absorbs (in a good way). It is good at picking up dust and pet hair but may struggle with things like paper or papers. If anything has weight on it, it will suffer, too. Edge cleaning is a bit questionable according to one review.
But you need to understand that for everyday cleaning tasks this machine will do just fine. What do you clean most days anyway, properly dust and hair? Sure there will be hair occasionally but it’s rare.
Despite these negative points, most consumers were completely satisfied with how to clean this machine.
Quality may also be an issue in the long run as many consumers complain of prematurely broken brush roller motor.
Runtime varies. Some say 30 minutes and some say 20 minutes.
Where can I buy this?
The best place to buy this in my opinion would be on Amazon because of their return policy. It is cheaper. Just in case something goes wrong, you will have the option of returning or claiming the warranty.
Since this is a “commercial” product, Amazon does not provide an extended warranty.
to finish
Hoover TaskVac CH20110 will have the same performance as Linx Stick B50010 but is cheaper. As this product is marketed for commercial use, it comes with heavy duty components such as a sturdier fender.
Unfortunately, upgrading the uptime is not as important as I would have liked. The longest running time in reviews is around 30 minutes which still lags behind the Shark IONFlex and Hoover Air Cordless.
Performance shouldn’t be an issue in terms of picking up dust and hair but it may struggle with sand and paper.
Overall, this is a good option for interval cleanings if you don’t mind the lack of a higher cleaning power of floors. So if you buy this, make sure you have a handy vacuum cleaner on hand for spot cleans.
