Hover Air Wireless 2-in-1 BH52100PC Review

Hoover Air Cordless 2-in-1 Stick BH52100PC Review

Posted on May 22, 2022June 22, 2022 by admin

Hoover has been busy lately launching new products.

Early this year, they released the Wireless Elevator, an updated version of the Cordless Air Series that started in mid-2014 that adds a “lift” feature that turns it into a cylinder broom.

This about $150 is part of the Wireless Air Series but this time instead of converting into a can, this one converts from a stick into a handheld device.

It uses the same 20V lithium-ion as the other products in this line, so if you’re considering buying more than one, you can replace the batteries!

If you’re worried this might be like another 2-in-1 that just attaches a handheld tool to a wand and therefore doesn’t have enough suction. Hoover says it comes with the same WindTunnel technology in the wireless rolls, which means the brush roll has its own motor.

It is similar to the likes of the Black + Decker BDH3600SV, VonHaus 600W 2-in-1, and Bissell Bolt in terms of functionality but how is it in terms of performance? Let’s find out what consumers think and the features below.

What do you expect from the Hoover Air wireless winch?

Although this is a handy broom mounted on a wand body, Hoover claims that unlike other 2-in-1 products, it will have great suction even when used as a wand vent because it uses the same WindTunnel technology that I prefer selling cordless air sticks.

Features

It only comes with one 20V lithium-ion battery, so don’t expect much in terms of runtime. The technical specifications say that it will only work for 15 minutes and will take 9 hours to recharge, so buying an extra battery will be your best case scenario, so you won’t have a lot of downtime on recharging a single battery.

In terms of length, this is the same as a 44-inch cordless hoist, so it should be long enough for taller people to use without the stoop. In terms of attachments, it only comes with one – a crevice tool.

bare floor performance

On bare floors, it will do a good job because it gives you the option to turn off the motorized brush. This also prevents expensive hardwood surfaces from being scratched – just in case they are in your home. If you look closely at the floor tool, you’ll find that it has an area where you pass larger pieces of debris like grain – this prevents the dreaded snowplower effect as large pieces of dirt are pushed around.

carpet performance

On the carpet, it’ll still be able to pick up surface dirt thanks to its proprietary digital motorized brush stroke. This may be the reason why the uptime is so low at just 15 minutes. If your home is completely carpeted, it will only serve as a spot cleaner at best. If you still like the wireless functionality, you’ll be better off with a portrait mode or wireless air lift that offers 50 minutes longer runtime than two lithium-ion batteries.

Pet hair removal

On carpets there shouldn’t be any problems cleaning up pet hair but on stairs and upholstery it will have some problems as it lacks a dedicated pet hair attachment. One option might be to purchase a handheld with a tool meant for the job such as the Black + Decker BDH2000FL or get the more expensive BH52120PC that comes with a turbo motorized tool attachment. Later it will be $30 more expensive.

upholstery performance

This is where diversity comes in. With the push of a button, you can detach the handheld part of this appliance and use it to clean upholstery. It comes with a slit tool to extend the reach but that’s it. If you’re going to pay the extra $30, you can have it with a turbo tool attachment that allows you to clean things like pet hair, upholstery fabric, and stairs.

Attachments and accessories

If you buy the BH52100PC, it will only come with a slotting tool. Buying a BH52120PC that costs about $30 more adds an automated turbo to the mix.

Shipping time

It will take about 3 hours to charge each of the two lithium-ion batteries, according to Hoover.

Filter cleaning

Before cleaning the filter you need to empty the dirt cup and so do it …

Dust discharge cup

Here are the steps for cleaning the filter…

Filter cleaning

Remember to clean the filter every 4 to 6 uses and make sure it is dry before installing it in the vacuum cleaner. The filter should last the life of this equipment.

the show length

According to Hoover, the work will last about 15 minutes.

Guarantee

It comes with a 2-year warranty on the vacuum cleaner and motor.

Customer Reviews

Consumers have generally liked this product’s versatility – it has good suction, is great at picking up pet hair, and doubles as a handy vacuum. The latter is what gives it an edge over the Hoover Linx Stick. However, those who were able to compare this side-by-side with the Linx Stick said that it has less suction than the Linx and the main reason for choosing this older model is if you need the portable functionality.

Note the Air Cordless 2-in-1 dirt cup, where dirt comes in, some of it goes into the filter and clogs it. This may be responsible for some lost suction power while older Linx devices do not have this problem.

Both are annoying and have short run times but Wireless Air has a longer charging time – 9 hours. This is another reason why some consumers give it a lower rating.
But despite all the negatives, this product still has a solid rating thanks to the extra features it has – LED headlights, swivel steering, easy assembly, and it’s very light.

Consumers seem to agree that even it has good suction power. It will not replace a vertical machine in terms of being a deep cleaning machine. The short time and lack of suction make this impossible, but if you’re looking for an all-around cleaner, this would be a great option.

Where can I buy this?

You can buy this versatile, handheld vacuum cleaner on Amazon for just over $100 but it’s not brand new.

to finish

This 2-in-1 multi-functional vacuum cleaner would be great for small homes where having a full-fledged vacuum cleaner would be impractical as it is heavy and takes up a lot of space. This would be an upgrade over a manual vacuum because you can use it as a vacuum cleaner and you don’t need to buy another product as long as you don’t need to clean a large area.

It has a short 15 minute runtime but that hasn’t stopped the Hoover Linx Stick from being a bestseller because it has good suction and based on initial reviews so far, this product has very good suction.

This vacuum cleaner would be a good successor to the Linx Stick, version 2.0 if you want to call it a portable because of the portable option but the long recharge time is a big problem so you have to weigh your options. There are also consumers who say this has less suction than the Linx in part because the filter clogs very quickly as the dirt cup fills up.

If you’re a Hoover loyalist, consider buying other cordless cleaners that give you the option to swap batteries, and have someone else buy the higher-end models like the cordless air and cordless lift. it’s your choice.
