EcoVacs DEEBOT N79s offer you an affordable option if you need an Alexa compatible robotic vacuum cleaner that has WiFi.
Usually, you have to pay a premium ($400++) to take advantage of this feature if you buy other brands.
Let’s dive deeper into this review and take a look at the features and performance of this robot vacuum for beginners.
WiFi robot vacuums are spread left and right.
This is because the majority of consumers now have smartphones.
What was once a luxury has now become a need. More people are now looking for products with WiFi connectivity and manufacturers are trying to meet this demand.
Brands like iRobot were the first to add this feature
In the 800 series they added 890 and in the 600 series they added 690.
These variants will be slightly more expensive for standard robots without a wireless connection. But these are also compatible with Alexa, so that’s where the premiums go.
However, buying either of these will cost between $320 and $500 depending on where you buy it.
For people who don’t want to spend that amount of money for a vacuum or don’t need Alexa compatibility, they will benefit from this product that I am going to show them.
Let me introduce EcoVacs DEEBOT N79
This is probably the cheapest robot vacuum cleaner with WiFi connection at the moment.
It’s a big reason why it’s an Amazon Favorite Seller with over 750 reviews!
We’ll take a closer look at this product and see how it works and how it stacks up against the competition.

What do you expect from EcoVacs DEEBOT N79?
The EcoVacs DEEBOT N79 may not have the sophistication or sophistication of the Neato BotVac Connected or the Roomba 980. But what it lacks in those areas it makes up for with no-nonsense performance at a price that’s hard to beat.
Watch this video to see the features…
When you consider the price tag just under $200 and the features you’ll get, you’re going to have to do double check if it’s a typo.
This robot vacuum cleaner is one of the cheapest options available with WiFi connection.
Compared to the 650 this is $100 cheaper. It is not surprising that this is a popular product.
Even with a simple application, it is more than enough for everyday tasks.
If you look at the screenshot above, it allows you to access all the features on the remote control. Includes all cleaning modes:
The robot will automatically clean an area (or room) and then return to the dock when the battery is low. Note that this bot will not come back automatically after a recharge unless you schedule it.
In this mode, the robot will first clean the edges for the first few minutes and then switch to automatic cleaning.
Cleans a small area in a circular motion. This is great if you want to clean up clutter in a specific area.
The robot will only clean one room. I’m not sure how different this is from the automatic mode. But they added that it wouldn’t work as long as it was automatic because it would only clean one room.
Tells the robot to return to the charging base.
The app also gives you the option to schedule the bot to clean independently while you are away. You can set this once a day throughout the week.
It’s a feature similar to the one you find in Roomba 650, 880, 960 and 980. The difference is that you’ll pay less.
You’ve heard the saying “less is more” and that applies to this EcoVacs robot.
At the top, you will only see one button that activates the automatic cleaning mode. It has a black/satin color with some gray accents which are not as prone to smudging as the lighter colored robot like the Xiaomi.
This robot is very similar to ILIFE A4S in terms of size and design. I’m not sure if these two belong to the same factory but they both have a very similar build and design. If you were to remove the brand, you would think these products are the same.
View from the bottom
Turn the robot over and you will see two side brushes and a combo brush similar to the Neato brush. Side brush system works on well-cleaned edges.
Again, if you compare DEEBOT N79 and ILIFE A4S, you will see remarkable similarities. The only difference will be the main beater bar.
Under the hood, this robot has a brushless motor which means fewer moving parts. This translates to a long lasting motor that has a longer life compared to a brushed motor.
Suction is about 1000Pa, which is the same as that of the Eufy RoboVac 11 and ILIFE A4S.
It’s not quite as powerful as the Roomba 980 but it will do its job.
V shaped double brush
If you’re not familiar, the double-V brush refers to the beater bar that combines the mop and bristles in a V shape. Hence the name double-V. This is the same composition found in Neato BotVac robots and has been shown to be an effective tool against pet hair and dust.
Unfortunately, the bristles are not stiff, so the carpet will not be cleaned deeply.
Even if this robot has an app, it also comes with a remote control that gives you the same functionality as the app.
The difference is that you need to be in the same room as the bot to use this. You will not be able to access the bot remotely using only the remote control.
It’s a great addition in case you don’t want to install the app. But if you ask me, I prefer using the app via the remote control.
Below the robot are drop sensors that prevent it from falling off cliff points such as stairs. The downside to this technology is that it won’t bypass anything black. So if you have black rugs or carpets, you may need to use a stick or vacuum cleaner to clean them.
Thanks to the dual brush system, this robot will stand out on exposed floor surfaces such as hardwood and tile. It has enough suction to pick up fine things like powder and even bigger things like crushed potatoes.
However, it may not work well on carpets due to the soft brush.
But it will at least do a good job cleaning surface dirt. Do not expect from this robot Deep clean carpet. EcoVacs says this will work best on low-pile carpeting.
You will notice that even in a random direction, it does not hit hard against the furniture. This is something the Roomba 650 has struggled with.
Expect the same level of performance as the Eufy RoboVac 11, ILIFE A4S and A6 which is pretty good if you ask me. The difference between these bots is that this one has WiFi while the other three don’t.
EcoVacs backs this product with a one-year warranty.

Consumers like three things.
The first is noise or lack thereof, this robot may not be the most powerful. But what it lacks in strength it makes up for with relentless precision.
And you will be able to have a good conversation with your family even when this is on.
Good cleaning performance
The second will be the cleaning performance. The two side brushes and the motorized function will do the job of picking up dirt.
If your home has a low pile or hard floor, this would be a great choice because of the performance.
Whether it’s picking up dust or pet hair, this robot is up to the task.
Can’t deep clean
Don’t worry about not being able to deep clean the carpet as it will prevent dirt buildup.
Besides there is no robot vacuum at the moment that can really deep clean, but even Dyson can’t.
The third and biggest reason why this product is so popular on Amazon is the price.
At just under $200, this is one of the cheapest robot vacuums with WiFi. And I’m not talking about a cheap, quality-controlled product.
I’m talking about a company committed to service. Consumers have reported great after sales service and this is a common topic if you read the reviews.
The app is also another strong point
Not only does it allow you to schedule, but it will also help you locate the robot if it stops somewhere and tell you it needs maintenance tasks – like brushing.
Cleaning performance is what I expected – great. Look at the pictures in the reviews section and you’ll know what I mean. The amount of pet hair I picked up is impressive.
The container is not the largest, so you will have to empty it after each cycle if you rely on this for the whole house.
Where can I buy this?
You can buy this robot vacuum cleaner on Amazon for less than $230. It qualifies for free 2-day shipping if you join Prime.
Amazon also sells extended warranties of up to 3 years which adds even more peace of mind.
If you’re not willing to spend $600++ on an iRobot Roomba or Neato BotVac, this isn’t a bad reserve. The cleaning performance is great for a robot vacuum in this price range. Most importantly, this machine is the backbone.
You’ll clean your home every day without breaking down as long as you keep the side brush and main combo brush clean.
And while it’s not the smartest robot, unlike the Roomba 650, it won’t scratch furniture.
Don’t forget that it has an app that offers a similar feature set as the Roomba 690 which will cost around $130 more.
