When it comes to cordless vacuums, it’s hard to argue with what Dyson brings to the table.
Despite their flaws and what some consider exaggerated, it has a lot of positives.
A few years ago, Dyson introduced absolute v6; It was their variant above the line Before the V8 and V10 come out.
This was the most powerful and versatile wireless device at the time. It is absolute, Dyson expanded the range V6 . production line for different needs.
V6 Fluffy is one of those variants with a specialty – for open floors.
Coming with industry first, this variant is a soft cylindrical rod that absorbs large and small debris.
One of my favorite features of the Fluffy is the wide clearance that will handle a huge pile of dirt.
There will be a risk that the cleaning head will push the dirt forward due to the exposure of the soft roller. In addition, they are easy to remove and clean, so maintenance will not be a problem in the long run.
You’ll also get the same versatility as the more expensive V6 Absolute but at a much lower price.
Excellent choice for cleaning hard floors
Dyson V6 Fluffy Review
The V6 Fluffy is one of Dyson’s less expensive alternatives to cleaning hard surfaces. This model only comes with a “Fluffy” or soft roller attachment that works well for picking up debris on hard surfaces. However, since it’s a V6, it lacks the sanitary system found on the Dyson V7 and V8 variants, so the dirt will be difficult to empty. If you don’t mind that limitation, it’s an excellent alternative for smaller homes since it’s one of the most compact and lightweight Dyson stick vacuums.
Quick look at the features
- Comes with a nice soft spinning rod Even on hard wood Yet it still provides great excitement
- Thanks to the removable stick and interchangeable tools, you can use this as a file a stick or portable vacuum.
- The V6 digital motor produces up to 100 watts of air from the suction.
- The Lithium-ion battery up to 20 minutes.
- Weighs only 5.1 lbs with stick and main cleaning head
- Lifetime washable filter
- It also has a small motorized brush that makes cleaning upholstery much easier.

- Versatile machine that does not take up much space
- Ideal for homes with exposed roofs thanks to the soft roller bar
- Good choice if you have pets
- The attachments for this vacuum cleaner provide ample coverage inside your home and car.

- Edge cleaning is not as good as vertical brooms.
- No HEPA filtration
What do you expect from the Dyson V6 Fluffy?
V6 Fluffy is specifically designed to clean bare floors. Looking at the soft cylinder rod closely, it has a nylon outer housing and carbon fiber grooves that work well for picking up small and large debris.
Prior to the introduction of the V6, none of the brooms on the market had this type of cylinder rod.
In a way, it is a revolutionary design that you can see in other vacuum cleaners, such as Roydmi Vacuum Cleaner And Share IONFlex DuoClean.

Watch this video from Ibaisaic to see what this vacuum is all about in this box opening video:
Please note that the Fluffy you see in the video is the UK version, so it won’t come with the same attachments as the US version. The US version does not come with the bristle attachment you will see in the video above.
What will you get out of the box (if you buy from amazon)?
- Soft cylindrical cleaning head
- small turbo brush
- slit tool
- Combination or multi tool
- Soft brush for dusting
- stick extension
- wall mount charger
Here’s a look at Fluffy’s head:
The blue and red parts of this tool have nylon with black grooves made from the stiffer carbon fiber that delivers action. Don’t let the title “soft roller” fool you, as it is solid and won’t bend.
There are also nylon strips on the bottom that surround the soft roller bar that protects the floor from the plastic wrap of this tool.
At the back there is another wide reel rod (not motorized) with a nylon cover that prevents scratches.
Dyson put a lot of effort into designing this tool.
What I like about this floor tool is the amount of clearance.
Higher clearance means the cleaning head will capture larger dirt particles without pushing them forward.
One of the things that annoy pets about old vacuum cleaners is the low base cleaning head design.
dirt box
All Dyson V6 boxes use a pull-down door design that is solely based on gravity. One of the biggest complaints about these designs is the dust and hair that tends to stick to the shroud in the middle.
Later models such as the Dyson V7, V8 and V10 came with a new box design with a mechanism that pushes dirt down.
But if you don’t mind your hands getting a little dirty, this is an excellent option due to the price difference.
You can also remove the entire container from the motor if you need to clean it more thoroughly.
However, do not immerse it under water because there are electronic parts that carry current.
Doing so will damage it and void your warranty.
washable filter
One of the few maintenance items you need to clean the filter. The V6 Fluffy comes with a lifetime washable filter that you will need to wash in cold water.
If you use this often, the frequency will increase. Unfortunately, Fluffy does not come with the HEPA filter found in higher variants such as V6 Absolute and Animal.
Two power modes
All V6 variants have two power modes – default and maximum. Max mode gives you access to every 100 watt antenna. Power drops to about 25 watts antenna in default setting, so it’s about a quarter of the power.
Turning on the maximum mode reduces the run time to 6 minutes. Runtime will be long up to 20 minutes in default setting.
cleaning performance
To show you how this product performs, please watch the videos below.
Once again, a first from Ibaisaic, testing the V6 Fluffy on carpet and convertible flooring.
Again, it uses the British version of Fluffy that comes with the bristle cleaning head. It’s the same tool found in the V6 Cord-Free vacuum cleaner.
In general, the performance is amazing for a cordless vacuum cleaner. The bristle attachment can do an excellent job on medium pile carpets although you will have to use the max function, which reduces the run time to 6 minutes.
On bare floors, the performance was great, with the smooth drum rod catching nearly all of the debris.
This test reveals that the Fluffy Tool has limitations in terms of the amount of debris it can pick up. But you need to remember that for large pieces of dirt, you can only use a picker or crevice.
What do consumers say?
Consumers were pleased with how Fluffy performed on bare floors. The fine roller cleaning head works great on various surfaces such as tile and plywood. Reviews say it won’t scratch even delicate surfaces like ebony-stained oak floors.
The combination of soft nylon and hard carbon fiber grooves works well at picking up dust and things like rolled oats.
It also has swivel steering, and its low profile design allows it to go deep under furniture.
Versatility is another strong point, thanks to the interchangeable tools.
Complaints include uptime; Some say it’s closer to 15 minutes with the robotic attachment and little dirt box.
There are complaints about quality control issues, but this is very common for all electronic products.
That’s why Dyson backs it up with a two-year warranty for those cases where there’s a factory defect.

judgment
The Dyson V6 Fluffy is an excellent choice if you are looking for a bare floor. The only cleaner cheaper than Absolute V6 and V8. You will still have the same diversity as the others Dyson cordless vacuums But don’t spend too much.
Perhaps the most important advantage of the soft swivel head is that it won’t scratch hardwood because of all the protection underneath.
Some potential issues could be the shorter runtime and the small container that can be messy to empty, but if you don’t mind those limitations, this is a great option.
