When I first saw this product, I was intrigued because I bought one for testing, and I’ll be sharing the results in this review.

Introduction to Dyson Omni Glide
Dyson brand known for innovation. The first is the bagless vacuum cleaner design which has become so popular that other brands like Miele (known for bagless vacuum cleaners) have followed suit and started making their own bagless versions.
Next is green laser light found in V15 كشف DetectionIt is superior to LED in tracking dust invisible to the naked eye.
This time, it’s unidirectional The Omni-Glide with side-to-side action is an industry first. No other vacuum cleaner at the moment can clean this way.
Dyson recently Micro 1.5KG launchedThe lightest cordless vacuum cleaner to date. Learn more about her and How is it different from Omni-Glide By clicking on the links.
The Dyson Omni Glide is a slight departure from what we’ve seen of the Dyson—the bulky vacuum cleaners that have plenty of power and above-average capacity.
This vacuum cleaner resembles a small portable appliance with its streamlined design and handle. Trigger gone. Loyal Dyson customers love (or hate).
One feature of this design is the lightweight frame at just over two pounds. Despite the reduced size, this model still retains the design of the swirls and the container, which we will consider in more detail below.
Unidirectional soft roller
This is amazing Dual roller cleaning nozzle It is another innovation that Dyson offers with its Omni-Glide. The two cylindrical rods are not only for display, but also have a functional purpose – to clean in both directions.
Under this tool is Four wheels that rotate 360 degrees independentlyallowing it to “float” and move around the furniture effortlessly.
What I like is that each wheel has a rubber coating, which reduces the risk of surface friction.
Only one motor drives the drum with a series of gears to move the second gear.
So it will not have the same torque as other dual stick brush cleaners like Lupe Pure and Shark Vertex.
This lack of torque means the pulleys Won’t roll on the carpetrendering it useless on this surface.
It is easy to clean this accessory with the detachable cylinder and bottom plate.
Press the switch button
Another change to the Omni-Glide is the exit from the trigger to the pressure switch. I think Dyson did this out of necessity because of the handle design.
It’s actually professional because users don’t have to pull the trigger to start the motor.
Arm fatigue will not be a factor in using this due to the light frame and steering.
Litter box design and size
Everything in Omni shrinkThis includes the trash. still Retains the design of the V10, V11 and V15 الغبار dust enclosurebut on a much smaller scale, including hurricanes.
Dyson says this vacuum has eight cyclones with fully automated filtration. It has the same filter design as the V11 and V15, only smaller.
This model retains the sanitary regime, and for a vacuum cleaner with a reduced volume – it is an indispensable feature.
The red lever also doubles as a release latch to remove the outer casing of the dust container if it needs a thorough cleaning.
I tested it with a fog machine, and there were no visible leaks during this experiment. So it has excellent seals all around.
Low dirt capacity At only 0.05 gallons (or 0.18 liters) – As small as a hand. Expect frequent trips to the trash if you use this.
Tools out of the box
- Mixed incision and brush attachment
- Omni Cleaning Head (Dual Roller System)
- extension stick
- Dyson Omniglide Vacuum Cleaner
Users will not get much. Aside from the Omni nozzle, it comes with only one more accessory – a 2-in-1 crevice and brush tool.
Mixed portable usability. The length of the body makes it difficult to clean tight spaces. It’s light enough (2 pounds of body weight) to carry around for cleaning upholstery, but the lack of tools and length isn’t ideal for handy use.
Please note that V-Series attachments do not fit the Omni as they have a smaller connector. Just a warning.
Runtime and battery
Dyson says the Omni contains four energy-dense cells, With up to 20 minutes from runtime. I tested it independently by running it until the battery is empty, and here are the results.
- shortening: 23:30 minutes
- the above: 8:25 minutes
These tests are performed using an Omni cylinder attachment, with the battery fully charged.
Consumers can extend (actually double) runtime by purchasing an additional battery. The ability to charge the battery separately adds to the usability, so it is possible to use this vacuum cleaner while charging the second battery.
The Dyson Omni offers a certain level of versatility with its interchangeable tools.
Apart from its main function as a vacuum cleaner, users can use it as a portable device with the included comb tool.
To clean high areas, users can use the wand for extra reach.
This is one of my favorite configurations.
The soft roller attaches directly to the body for cleaning areas such as stairs. Its 360-degree steering makes Omni the best for cleaning non-carpeted stairs.
How strong is the Dyson Omni Glide?
To measure the force, I used an anemometer for air flow and a vacuum water lift gauge for suction.
Here are the airflow results with the cylinder attached
- shortening: 20.35 cubic feet per minute
- the above: 26.28 cubic feet per minute
And with the tube extension
- shortening: 23.71 cubic feet per minute
- the above: 31.94 cubic feet per minute
It’s not high quality airflow, but it’s enough for what it does, which is cleaning hard surfaces. CFM numbers are a little lower than the likes of the Dyson V8 and Tineco A11, but the beauty of a soft cylinder is that it doesn’t rely so much on airflow to pick up debris.
Suction is also minimal at just 12 pounds of water lift – the lowest yet of all Dyson cordless vacuums.
Don’t expect to do more than lightly clean the floors.
Next, we’ll look at how the Dyson Omni cleans up different types of debris. Since the rollers won’t spin on the carpet, I didn’t bother testing them on this surface, so the results you’ll see are precisely on hard floors.
- Total: 99.42%
- Solid ground: 99.35%
- sand: 99.5
hard floor results
- Quaker Oats: 100%
- Cafe floors: 98.8%
- Quinoa: 99.6%
- pet litter: 99%
Not perfect, but it’s still ’90s fresh. One thing to note with the cylinder was that it kicked some debris forward, which could be cause for less than 100% pickup.
The drum speed will push a few things forward, but only when assembled as it did in the tests. For debris like dust, that shouldn’t be a problem.
sand on hard floor
I’ve also tested the Dyson Omni in sand – one of the toughest surfaces to clean with 50g, and it captured rate of 99.5%. It is one of the best grades of all cordless stick vacuum cleaners.
You can use this to easily clean the sand under the bed for those who live near the beach.
hair wrap test
Next, we’ll look at how well the Dyson Omni performs on hair. I used 1.18 grams of 5 inch human hair to see if the twin rollers could resist tangling in the experiment.
she wasn’t pretty only 26%, With almost all threads wrapped around the axes.
It is good that these rollers are detachable, otherwise it will be difficult to remove them.
This test shows that the Dyson Omni Not suitable for pet owners. I’d go with a Dyson V8 over this one if you have any four-legged friends walking around, at least cleaning the floors.
Edge cleaning and crevice testing
Finally, we’ll look at how the Dyson Omni cleans up the edges and crevices for this section.
First, here’s a before and after picture of the edge cleaning experience.
It took about five passes to catch all the coffee in this corner.
Despite the lower airflow, it did quite well in this quarter-inch slit.
Omni didn’t pick up all the quinoa crumbs, but she did get the majority.
How noisy is the Dyson Omniglide?
Even with low airflow, the Omni Glide is loud, breaking through 70dB at both settings. So it is not recommended to use this in the early morning or late at night.
- shortening: 72 dB
- the above: 76 dB
I used a sound meter to measure noise levels. Please note that these are not official results, but only numbers that I got from experience.
Availability of spare parts
Being a new product, don’t expect too much with the product being available outside of Dyson. However, history shows us that third-party manufacturers will eventually sell Dyson parts if the product is popular. Even older variants like Dyson V6 You have an abundance of spare parts such as the battery. So I expect Omni to follow suit if it sells well and early returns are promising.
Where can I buy a Dyson Omni?

Does the Dyson Omni Glide provide a good value?
With current prices at Dyson V8 levels and a lack of carpet cleaning ability, the Omni-Glide seems to be overrated.
Consumers Pay for unilateral routing and dual roller system. The technology is working. this void Easily the best vacuum guide stick around the furniture, And it’s not even close. The point for me is its ability to clean under furniture in the same side-to-side motion.
If you value agility and don’t mind paying a premium for it, Omni-Glide is an excellent tool at your disposal.
5 Reasons to Buy Dyson Omni Glide
- Omni-Directional Steering: This model is the best steering vacuum I’ve tested, and it’s nowhere near as good.
- Hold it like a broom: The lightweight design and four independently spinning wheels allow users to carry it like an old-fashioned broom.
- Excellent on hard floors: Although it’s not perfect, it does pick up a high percentage of hardwood floors.
- Fully closed system: It did not leak during the fog test.
- Detachable battery: The removable battery makes it easy to extend the operating time – by purchasing an additional battery.
Verdict: Cleaning hard floors will never be the same
While I think the Dyson Omni Glide is a bit overpriced, there is nothing like it on the market right now. that it 360 degree rotation capability It’s potentially a game-changer and a change in the way consumers clean hard floors.
Before I had the Omni, the only other vacuums I could use to clean low-clearance furniture was the Shark Vertex cordless with a multi-flex feature, but at the cost of a steering feel. Using it in the flex position significantly hampers its ability to rotate.
Omni does not have this problem and Easily goes side by sideEven under the furniture. This feature translates well in cleaning stairs and around tight spaces around furniture.
If this is of great importance to you, consider it if your home has hardwood floors and no pets.

The Omni-Glide is one of the most innovative cordless vacuums Dyson has offered. Its unique cleaning nozzle pivots 360 degrees, giving it unparalleled guidance around and under furniture. Of all the vacuums I’ve reviewed, this is the best routing option and also the best on stairs. The narrow spout also makes it ideal inside small homes with lots of nooks and crannies. Unfortunately, it is designed to clean hard surfaces only.
