A lot has changed since DreameTech released the V10 sometime last year. One of them is the new T series culminating in the latest T30 that we will take a look at in this review.
This model is currently He has the most power And Longest runs 91 minutes Based on my tests. Dreame told me they’re aiming for Dyson V15 ChallengeBut is it really that good? I tested the V15 extensively, and it was one of the best performing cordless vacuum cleaners. How does the Dreame T30 compare? Find out in this review.
Is it better than the Dyson V15 Detect?
Dreame T30 review
The T30 is DreameTech’s latest model with the most suction at 27Kpa, and generates up to 190 watts of air for suction – 40 less than a V15. But one of the selling points of this vacuum is its low cost. It has some high tech features like the smart display behind the engine which provides real time data. The V-shaped brush design is one of the best (if not the best) for cleaning long strands of hair. I’ve spent the past few days testing it, and the results have been excellent, especially on carpet.

Introduction to DreameTech T30
One feature that piqued my interest and why I agreed to this review is the Smart Screen feature. The screens aren’t exactly a new feature, but I love the Dreame’s usability and contrast it brings to the table.
Colorful text/graphics and a black background provide excellent readability, and its placement behind the engine gives users easy access to information.
The T30 has a sensor that counts debris and displays that information on the smart screen via a line graph.
It does not measure particles such as Dyson V15.0 But it only shows the amount like Tineco Pure One S12.500 mAh.
this feature Provides a visual hint On clean and unclean areas. However, it seems that he is only discovering The largest dirt particles.
I’ve tried in dusty areas, and the sensors don’t seem to track smaller particles any better than larger ones.
Dreame Space 5.0 . engine
This variant has a Dreame Space 5.0 engine, which spins at an impressive 150,000 rpm (25,000 more than a V15 engine) that generates up to 190 watts of air from the suction.
I now realize that the RPM is not a sound basis for determining how well a vacuum cleaner can clean. To prove it, I tested the T30 suction against Dyson V15 revealed Using a water lift vacuum gauge.
T30 had 94 of water liftingbut six less than the Dyson V15 (100 ohms).
So having higher rpm doesn’t always mean higher suction, as evidenced by this test.
But the T30 is at the top in terms of suction. It is higher than V11 Outsize and V11 Torque DriveWhich is impressive for a mid-priced cordless vacuum cleaner.
Please note that I took the tests in the highest place. I’m still fine-tuning the testing process, so bear with me if there are inconsistencies.
90 minutes running time
Another selling point of the Dreame T30 is its 90 minutes of running time, thanks Li-ion battery with a capacity of 2900 mAh.
I tested it, and the claim was valid as it lasted up to 91 minutes But with suction tools only.
However, it has persisted up to 55 minutes With the main nozzle – much shorter than 85 minutes for the V15.
The battery is detachable but it is detachable It is impossible to ship it separately Because the charging pin is located behind the handle. This is one of the improvements that Dreame should look at in future releases.
LED Slit Tool
Another unique feature I saw with the T30 is Slotting tool equipped with LED lightswhich helps visibility and track dirt.
It’s the first of its kind that I’ve seen and tested. The lighting isn’t very good, but it still provides a better view than anything without it.
litter box design
The T30 retains the same trash can design as the older T10 and T20 variants with a capacity of 0.15 gallons (or 0.66 liters). For cordless vacuum standards, it’s average, and a little smaller than the Dyson V11.
It has the same trap door design as older models, but not the Sanitary or Dyson.
One advantage is that it is completely detachable, and users can take apart different components if needed for a more thorough cleaning.
There are two basic filters – a pre-engine and post-engine HEPA filter. However, it does not have a completely closed system. I tested it with a fog machine, and it was there Slight exhaust leak.
One of the features it has on the Dyson V15 is this Electronic trigger lock behind the engine.
What it does is keep the motor running without having to pull the trigger, which improves usability when mopping floors.
Ergonomics and ease of use
The T30 uses a similar design to the Dyson V8 but is slightly heavier (3 pounds 15 ounces vs V8’s 3 pounds 7 ounces). So expect the same kind of portable work environment above the floors.
However, the trigger lock gives him a file Minor advantage over Dyson V8 Because there is less stress on the arm and wrist, as well as the inclusion of a flexible hose makes the T30 better for manual use.
Cleaning nozzle design
Dreame guarantees only one floor cleaning nozzle – the anti-tangle brush with V-shaped brush and combs pattern Above to detangle hair. It does not have a soft roller attachment.
This design is effective and one of the best (perhaps the best) at resisting hair tangles on carpets and hard floors.
While it picks up hard floors well, it is not as effective and does not channel as a soft roller attachment.
The steering feels stiff, and doesn’t shift as sharply as the Dyson, which is its biggest drawback.
How much power does the DreameTech T30 have?
I used an anemometer and a vacuum hydrometer to measure the force.
Here are the results after testing the airflow with the cleaning nozzle.
- Little: 27 cubic feet per minute
- middle: 30.64 cubic feet per minute
- the above: 41.91 cubic feet per minute
and stick extension.
- Little: 28.52 cubic feet per minute
- middle: 36.95 cubic feet per minute
- the above: 58.35 cubic feet per minute
The drop between T30 and V15 is more significant in the airflow test than in the suction test – up to 22%!
It was much closer in the suction test, with a T30 Excellent 94°C of water liftJust 6% less than the V15’s 100″.
Next, we’ll look at how well the T30 cleans floors. To check, I ran my usual tests on debris like Quaker oats, quinoa, coffee grounds, pet litter, sand, and hair.
- Total: 97.93%
- Solid ground: 98.05%
- Sand on the hard floor: 99.8%
- carpet: 99.9%
- deep cleaning: 94%
The first thing that stands out is her performance on the carpet which is an A+. It performed better on this surface than on hard floors, which is to be expected since it only has the standard brush attachment.
hard floor results
- Quaker Oats: 93.2%
- Cafe floors: 100%
- Quinoa: 99.6%
- pet litter: 99.4%
I did the worst Quaker oats cleaning, Only 93.2%. The problem is not the pick-up but the lack of clearance. There isn’t much with the T30 cleaning head, so a small part of it was snow-wrapped.
Another problem is the lack of efficiency versus the soft roller attachment. I’m not a big fan of using standard nozzles for cleaning hard floors for this reason.
sand on hard floor
Although there is no soft spool attachment, the T30 still picks up sand well with an average of 99.8%. But I had to use the maximum setting to achieve this result, highlighting the brush’s inefficiency.
Sand is one of the most difficult particles to clean on hard floors and requires exceptionally high airflow or agitation to capture it.
The T30 excels at cleaning edges which only need a few passes to clean this area.
It didn’t do well in the quarter-inch slit pickup test, leaving some debris in this area.
Hard floor hair wrap test
Next, we’ll look at the T30’s ability to resist hair tangles on hard floors, and the results are excellent.
I used five to twelve inch strands of hair to test the torture of this stick broom.
The results speak for themselves here. He. She He got 100% in all testsmuch better than the Dyson V15, where 12-inch threads are wound onto the cylinder and axle.
This vacuum cleaner will work best on carpets due to the brush design and high suction. The results on low and medium carpets are a testament to their ability. A high suction power and a good seal are essential to thoroughly cleaning this surface.
Low stack results
- Quaker Oats: 100%
- Cafe floors: 99.2%
- Quinoa: 100%
- pet litter: 100%
These are nearly perfect results on a low-pile carpet—on par with the more expensive Dyson V15 Detect and V11 Outsize.
- Quaker Oats: 100%
- Cafe floors: 100%
- Quinoa: 100%
- pet litter: 100%
The T30 beat all the tests here with an overall score of 100%. Again, above-average airflow and brush dynamics are important factors that led to his pick so well.
deep cleaning test
To check how well the Dreame T30 cleans built-in dirt, I rub 100g of sand on a medium-pile carpet. I picked up an average of 94% In two tests using the maximum setting, which is worse than Dyson V11 . torque motorand Outsize and V15 Detect, but it’s one of the best in its price segment.
I also tried using the low and medium settings, and the results didn’t diminish much.
It’s an appropriate proportion, but Score down detection V15 in these settings. But given the price difference, this vacuum is something to look at if Dyson is too expensive.
Carpet Rolling Test
As in hardwood floors, the T30 is Excellent for picking up hair on the rug. It has successfully resisted strands – even 12″ long hair without anything wrapping on the brush – better than Dyson V15 revealed And Vertex shark.
The hair is initially twisted and brushed, but the hair eventually detangles after about 30 seconds.
Consider this cordless vacuum cleaner if you need to clean pet hair on any surface. If it can clean longer strands, shorter strands shouldn’t be a problem.
How long does the DreameTech T30 last?
Dream It claims a running time of 90 minutesand tests prove that this number is accurate – 91 minutes to be exactbut only with non-powered tools.
Smack the main nozzle, and that number drops to 55 minutes.
How noisy is the DreameTech T30?
To check noise levels, I use an audio meter on each power setting, and here are the results.
- Little: 71.4 dB
- middle: 72.4 dB
- the above: 78.3 dB
This vacuum is loud, and it shouldn’t surprise you because most high-suction cordless vacuums will make a lot of noise.
Being a brand new DreameTech means that spare parts availability will not be abundant. The good news is that this company has been active in product releases, which means they are committed to improving. However, I don’t see much with parts availability on Amazon. Most of the accessories sold are for the robotic vacuum cleaner, but they do not use the sticky vacuum cleaner. Only time will tell if this changes.

Does the DreameTech T30 offer a good value?
High suction carpet cleaning results and great carpet cleaning results at an affordable price make the T30 an excellent value-for-money alternative to the Dyson V15.
Know that the T30 won’t steer or deep clean like the V15 Detect, especially on the Low and Auto settings.
Hard floor performance is decent, but I prefer using a soft roller on this surface. But that’s my preference, and the T30 can clean that surface well enough to warrant looking into it.
This void is not without its drawbacks. I’ve highlighted two, but the difference between this and the V15 Detect is as broad as the price difference suggests.
5 reasons to consider DreameTech T30
- high suction: The T30 tracks only the V15 Detect with suction up to 94 degrees of water lift.
- Excellent performance on carpet: This vacuum cleaner will clean carpets well thanks to its high suction, solid brush dynamics and sealing.
- Great hair capture on both surfaces: The results speak for themselves with the T30. It was by far the best at resisting tangles, even from 12″ strands of hair.
- Portable work environment: Ease of use over floors will be even better with the flexible hose and trigger lock.
- Extended run time: It lasted up to 91 minutes in my tests – an impressive number from a single battery.
Verdict: Value for money replacement for Dyson V15
Despite its steering and filtering flaws, the DreameTech T30 is an excellent choice to consider If the Dyson V15 is too expensive. The price difference is good enough reason to consider this option if you don’t mind the downsides I outlined in this review.
Being a Xiaomi backed company, this company is known for making quality products.
Only time will tell if it will be popular enough that third-party manufacturers start selling parts like the battery. For now, as it stands, the T30 is a decent alternative to Dyson and won’t break the bank.
