In this review, we’ll take a closer look at the Dreame Bot W10, the latest Dreame product, and the first hybrid robot vacuum and mop.
This product has a similar design to the Narwal T10 in that it has a huge berth that houses the clean and dirty water tanks but without the self-emptying feature.
However, the Dreame Bot W10 can vacuum and mop simultaneously because the pad is placed in the back.

The Dreame Bot W10 combines the versatility of a vacuum cleaner and a high-end vacuum cleaner in one package. One feature that separates it from the Narwal T10 is its wide brush barrel, which enables it to clean efficiently. Its swivel back pads provide excellent vibration, which helps it scrub dry spots. Unfortunately, the robot does not have a water tank (in the robot), so it’s best for dry spots only, not liquid spills.

Introduction to Dreame Bot W10
Dreame launched their latest product, the W10, with spinning pads on the back.
This product Similar to Narwal T10 A hybrid where both have a clean, dirty water tank inside the huge base station.
Unfortunately, the use of bulky cabinets means there is no room for a suitcase to empty the robot’s trash can. So it lacks the feature of self-discharge.
Self-cleaning robot vacuum and mop
The Dreame Bot W10 is rated as a self-cleaning robotic mop as the pads are cleaned after each mopping cycle.
Both pads rotate against this ribbed contraction inside the pavement as water is sprayed to remove dirt and grime.
These pads are placed behind the primary brush roller, and one of my concerns is how this placement affects spot cleaning performance, which we’ll explore later in this article.
Separate clean and dirty water tank
There are two water tanks inside the pier: a clean and dirty water tank to prevent cross-contamination.
Both tanks can hold 1.06 gallons, or about 4 liters.
Having these cabinets ensures hands-free operation with how this product works.
But it is better to use it on dry spots since there is no water tank or roller in the robot.
It is a different product than ILIFE W400 and W450 These products contain atomizer, water tanks and cylinder.
These two devices are better equipped to pick up spills.
The Dreame Bot Z10 Pro has two rotating pads on the back, which means consumers can use the vacuuming and mopping feature simultaneously, unlike the Narwal T10.
These yarn pads help with irritation, especially with dry patches.
But since the Z10 does not have a water tank in the robot, it relies on the base station to equip it before going through the scanning cycle.
Consumers can control the humidity through the Xiaomi app.
One advantage of this system is hands free. Once the purified water tank is filled with water, there is no need to refill it or touch anything for three or four days.
Even if you need to vacuum, don’t touch because the position of the brush is different from that of the pad.
One potential problem with patches is You cannot remove the cloth. It appears to be sewn to the bow, unlike Narwal, which is secured by Velcro, as you’ll see the look is on the other end.

One of the amazing features of the Dreame Bot Z10 is the wide brush roll.

The Dreame has done an excellent job of improving the cleaning performance because it picks up better than the previous robot vacuum.
I would say the Z10 is the best performing robotic vacuum yet with how well it picked up during coverage testing.
The cleaning performance is a bonus since most mopping-biased robots don’t vacuum well.
And this is despite the rubber flats in front of the brush.
The purpose of these plates is to: protect the brush and motor from stray liquid on the surface.
Dreame W10 has a side brush similar to Roomba S9 It has a pentagonal design.
Most robot vacuums use a coarse side brush, but the W10 Pro version uses a slightly different bristle material.
It uses thicker plastic filaments instead of hair-like bristles, so it’s easier to wash and should last longer.
Positioning it (at the front edge of the brush roller) is ideal for cleaning edges, and it passed that test.

Dreame Bot W10 features similar litter box layout and design Z10 Pro And L10 Pro products.
Its top location allows easy access, and the front door allows direct dirt disposal.
Dreame says it has a capacity of 0.12 gallons (or 0.45 liters), which is a decent capacity.
But the lack of an automatic emptying system means that consumers will have to empty it manually.
Behind the trash can is a high-efficiency filter to keep allergens inside the dust container.
Double water tanks
Inside the huge base station are two water tanks containing clean and dirty water.
It is similar to the Narwal T10 but with a lower capacity of 1.06 gallons (or about 4 liters).
Separate water tanks make this robot hands-free, at least for the scanning side.
Once you fill your clean water tank, you won’t need to touch it for a few days.
The system is smart enough to notify users if the dirty water tank is full or if the clean water tank is empty.
It also has a screen that shows the status of the battery and the robot.
Consumers can check the robot’s battery status on the base station screen.
The screen also allows users to see if the robot is performing a scan to determine its position.
Next, we’ll look at the features of the Dreame Bot W10 app, and there’s a lot more. All Dreame smart robot vacuums are compatible with the Xiaomi APP.
If you have used the Xiaomi app, you will know that it is the best app in the market with ease of use.
I will review the features in this section.
1. Live Map
Consumers can see the bot’s location in real time using the live map. I wish big brands like Roomba and Neato would be implemented but not yet.
The live map shows the location of the bot and how far it will enter the course through these lines.
2. Save map
Dreame W10 can save multiple maps. I’m not sure how many you can save, but I’ve saved two so far
I want to highlight Play maps As the robot switches to exploratory mode, it quickly tracks the map creation process.
This feature takes full advantage of LIDAR’s 360-degree scanning ability, so the robot doesn’t have to go into every nook and cranny to create the map.
The multi-map feature is something that is absent on the Narwal T10.
Users can take the W10 to different levels without moving the base station because it doesn’t depend on it to function.
3. Map Management
Consumers have several options for editing the map, and they can be accessed through the map management icon at the bottom left (the main interface).
You can spit, merge and name areas. The app is smart enough for accurate zoning, but it’s nice to have a manual zoning option.
I like the room naming option, but there is no custom naming feature, so users are stuck with the options available.
4. Cleaning methods
The application provides several cleaning mode options for sweeping and sweeping functions.
Users can choose between vacuuming only, mopping only, or mopping and sweeping simultaneously.
There are four suction settings and three humidity settings (or how wet you want the pad to be).
5. Self-cleaning settings
The self-cleaning setting gives people more control over when the robot is docked to clean its pads.
There are two options: by region or by region. The first option is my favorite because it provides more frequent cleanings of the pad after the robot has exceeded the limit you choose.
This feature helps keep the pad clean with more frequent trips to the base station.
6. Restricted areas and invisible wall
Containment is also available for the W10 using invisible wall, blocking, or no-squeegee features.
The invisible wall acts as a virtual wall that prevents the robot from bypassing it.
In comparison, the restricted and untouched area are blocks that act as restricted areas that work best if you want to block a specific area.
The last two types are similar in that they both block a specific area, but the difference is that the block area completely blocks the robot, while the no mop area only blocks the robot from scanning.
However, you won’t need the no-mop zone feature because the Z10 app has a carpet recognition setting that tells the robot to avoid carpets as soon as it detects it.
Scheduling is also available to automate the vacuuming and mopping process. Users can set as many scheduled runs as possible, but the options are limited to cleaning range, start time, and frequency.
There’s no way to adjust the scavenging or suction levels, so it’s a bit limited.
8. Cleaning date
This tab displays a history of previous cleaning cycles and corresponding maps. There is not a lot of functionality except for showing the ‘mileage’ of the robot.
9. Use an extension
It provides users with guidance on replacing its four critical components: the filter, the side brush, the main brush, and the wiping pad.
Be aware that this is a time dependent system, so you will have to physically check the component if it needs replacing.
One way to extend the service life of these components is to clean them regularly.
This robotic vacuum cleaner/mop relies on LIDAR and SLAM for navigation, making it efficient and accurate with how it moves.
Like most laser robots, the run begins by cleaning the edges before moving toward the middle.
It only runs once by default, but two-track playback is available through the room or custom cleaning tabs in the app.
The app does not have the option to increase the number of passes with the default cycle, so users will have to use the room or custom cleaning to access the two-track run.
Use these modes too Cross pattern unlockswhich I especially love for scanning.
The Dreame W10 navigation system is efficient. I would say better than the previous versions, namely L10 Pro and Z10 Pro.
Dreame cleaned up loose ends and tightened up steering issues found on older models.
How much power does the Dreame Z10 have?
The claimed suction power of the Z10 Pro is 4000 Pa, which is a high-end figure. These are the same numbers that Dreame has for their other products: the Z10 Pro and the L10 Pro.
To check the power, I use an anemometer on the brush roll. It’s a good measure of how well a robot vacuum is doing, and here are the results.

- Turbo: 17.91 cubic feet per minute
17.91 CFM is behind the Dreame Z10 Pro (19.33 CFM) and L10 Pro (18 CFM), but it’s the Dreame’s most efficient vacuum cleaner to date, thanks to its wide brush roll.
I’ve put all the robot vacuums I review through a grueling series of tests using different types of debris to check how well these products clean up dirt.
Below are the overall results for the Dreame W10 Pro.

You’ll notice that it’s excellent on hardwood floors that rise in the ’90s. They are the best Dreame robot vacuums yet on this surface.
Results on carpets are good but slightly below average compared to other high-end robotic vacuums.
But for a scanning bias robot, these are excellent results.

Cleaning performance on hard floors was excellent, which came as a surprise to me because other Dreame vacuum cleaners didn’t pick up that much.
It rose 100% in three of the four tests, which is a good sign of how well it performs in the real world.

One strong indicator of the performance of hardwood floors is sand picking. The Dreame W10 Pro excels in this category because it has got average 99.5%The best Dreame robot vacuum cleaner in this category.
Next, we’ll look at the hair wrap results. I’m testing how well a vacuum cleaner can combat tangles in my five-and-seven-inch hair, and here are the results.
- 5 inch hair braids: 82%
- 7 inch hair braids: 53%
The W10 Pro was above average, with five-inch threads up 82%.
But it’s no good with strands longer than seven inches at only 53%.
Another area where the Dreame W10 Pro excels is edge cleaning, thanks to its square front, wide brush roll, and side brush mode.
It didn’t pick up everything, but it did get most of the wreckage, and it littered a lot.
However, it didn’t have enough airflow to clean the buildup on the quarter-inch crevice.
I had to use a vacuum cleaner to clean it.
Now, let’s take a look at how well the Dreame Bot W10 cleans carpets.
I used the same debris for the experiments, including Quaker oats, quinoa, pet droppings, coffee grounds, and sand.

- Cafe floors: 88%
- Quinoa: 99.4%

The W10 Pro struggles the most on good grounds, not breaking the 90% mark.
However, it fared much better with the other wrecks, scoring high in the ’90s on the other three tests.

Once again, it suffered from fine coffee, picked just under 90%, a sign that it doesn’t have as much airflow as other high-end robots.
Another factor for below average score is to run with only 2 passes because the app only allows 2 passes max.
Deep cleaning results
I used 100g of fine sand on a medium pile carpet for a deep cleaning test, and the W10 Pro was about the same level as the Dreame Z10 Pro (79.95%), Attract 77.95%.
But it is a notch higher than the Dreame L10 Pro (64.75%).
It’s not as good as a file Roomba S9+ and 980However, given that the Narwal T10 is not usable on carpet, I would consider this an excellent grade.
Prior to the review, I was skeptical about how the W10 wiped floors due to the positioning of the rear pad.
I test all robot wipes on different stains, especially red wine and grape juice.
These represent potential blemishes that you’ll clean up on a daily basis.
The Dreame Bot W10 cleaned these stains well. Clean up these impurities after the first pass.

However, I don’t recommend using W10 for sugary stains like grape juice because it will leave a sticky surface, which was the case for this product.
During spot cleaning, the lack of a sprayer and roller hampers its effectiveness on stains like these.
Even with a red wine stain, there are streaks on the surface.
But its ability to remove stains is remarkable thanks to its spinning pads.
I only recommend this for light to medium stains.
How noisy is the Dreame W10?
Noise level is another crucial factor, especially for people who live close to their neighbors.
Running a noisy vacuum cleaner at night can cause complaints, so it’s one of the reasons I do noise tests with a sound meter.
Dreame Bot W10 is not noisy at lower levels, barely exceeding 60dB on the strong setting.
However, it is loud with the turbo setting.

Like all hybrid robot vacuums and mops, users will need to clean specific components to function efficiently.
I will enumerate these components below.
- Basic brush: Check and clean your primary roller brush at least once a week to remove any accumulated hair or debris. If you are using this robot to wipe stains, increase the frequency to twice a week.
- Side brush: Again, the same frequency applies to the side brush. You can wash it under running water to clean up any sticky residue.
- Dustbin: Empty the trash after each cleaning cycle to prevent dust mite breeding. Squeeze the filter in the trash can to remove any debris stuck in it.
- Clean and Dirty Water Tank: Dispose of the contents of the dirty water tank as soon as it reaches its capacity. There is no need to constantly check as the app will notify you once it is full.
- Box: Check the tray inside the base station for any dirt buildup once a month.

Does the Dreame Bot W10 offer excellent value?
Despite the high price tag of the Dreame Bot W10, it brings a lot of value to the table.
It has excellent vacuum cleaner performance, especially on hard floors, much better than Narwal T10.
Wiping performance is excellent, but not for sugary stains or spills.
Best used for light to medium stains and everyday wiping tasks.

Verdict: Excellent choice for sweeping and mopping
The Dreame Bot W10 is better than the Narwal T10 on both vacuum and mopping levels.
You could say wiping performance is negligible, but the W10 is excellent at removing stains with its dual fast-rotating pads.
It’s one of the best wiping bots I’ve tested, but with a limitation on what can be cleaned.
I don’t recommend it for cleaning up spills because it doesn’t have any water tank in the robot to catch liquid.
The vacuum cleaner performs excellently for a mop-biased robot and can be used for everyday cleaning tasks. But it does not have a self-discharge feature.
One of the factors holding it back is the price. Are you willing to spend on top of that?

The Dreame Bot W10 is a step forward over the Narwal T10 I tested earlier. One reason is the improved vacuuming performance, thanks to the brush’s wide roll and airflow. Its wiping performance is excellent thanks to its dual spinning pads that help remove stains. In addition, the dual water tank system provides hands-free convenience. But there are limitations to what can be cleaned. If you don’t mind paying a premium for it and don’t mind how much space it will take up, then the W10 should be on your shortlist of robotic wipers.
