There are instances when we need to clean up spills on our floors.
One option might be to get a towel, and the other is to use a wet/dry vacuum cleaner like the one I’ll show you in a bit.
The Ultima V2510 allows homeowners to absorb spills from hard floor surfaces such as tile without having to take out a towel, and it can also pick up dust particles as well.
FilterStream claims that the Dirt Tamer V2510 has 400% more suction power than conventional cordless vacuum cleaners and will outperform Dyson and Hoover – very strong claims.
There are a number of reviews that agree with the suction power but don’t believe the hype it has 4 times more power than other wireless monitors.
Based on the numbers we got – this produces about 33 watts of air – which is a pretty decent number but is only 5 watts more than the Dyson V6 cordless but doesn’t have any boost function.
Meanwhile, the Black and Decker Pivot produces 2 more watts of air than this.
What’s unique about this is that it has wet cleaning capabilities – it can clean wet dirt.
This is a feature absent in most cordless cleaners and contains a HEPA filter.

What do you expect from Dirt Tamer V2510?

- 14.4V Nickel-cadmium battery
- Run time 12 minutes
- It has 3 attachments – crevice tool, squeegee, and brush
- Wet/dry feature
- Equipped with LED lights near the nozzle

Executing floor cleaning
Since it’s handheld and has a runtime of 12 minutes, you can’t use this cleaner as a basic floor cleaner, but for spot cleaning, it works well for both dry and wet messes.
The squeegee tool is handy for picking up spills on the bathroom floor or countertop.
It lacks a motorized brush that limits its effectiveness on carpets. Again, it would be better to use it as a spot cleaner on carpet with a crevice cleaner.
You can use this to clean up spills on upholstery but don’t use any petroleum-based cleaners with this. To clean dry debris – use a crevice tool.
Pet hair removal
There is no pet hair tool, so pet hair removal will be limited to hard floors. It will not be effective on upholstery, rugs or carpets.
Attachments and accessories
Comes with 3 attachments – a 13″ extendable crevice tool, a brush tool and a squeegee tool for cleaning fluids.
A full charge takes about 10 hours.
This comes with two filters – a foam filter for wet/liquid debris, and a HEPA filter for dry particles.
Always check any attached filter as using it to clean liquids with a HEPA filter will damage it.
Cleaning will take 4 steps:
- Separate the bowl from the casing by pressing the bowl latch
- Pull out the pre-filter and empty out anything that’s stuck to it
- Rinse the pre-filter with warm soapy water or in the dishwasher (top rack only)
- Dry the pre-filter and reinsert it into the bowl after drying
Note that only the foam filter can be washed, HEPA filters cannot – they must be replaced once every 12 months.
It will last up to 12 minutes on a single charge.
FilterStream gives a 2-year limited warranty for this.

About 40 consumers left reviews and many said that the suction power is very good and the uptime is decent.
One user liked that it had a HEPA filter because they live in a dusty area and some of their family members have had allergies.
The biggest downside according to reviews was the battery, since it uses an old NiCad – performance deteriorates, some say it’s not even a year old and one reviewer mentioned that customer service doesn’t want users to replace the battery themselves due to potential installation issues.
But after checking the FilterStream website – replacement batteries are still available.
Reviews from other sites
Not much here, only 5 leaving their reviews, and they all agreed it had good suction power but in battery life it was another story, it deteriorated very quickly and unfortunately for some of them it was delivered right after the warranty expired.
One consumer needed to spend about $25 for a replacement battery, about one-fifth of the cost of this vacuum cleaner.

This product is great for…
I’d only get this if you need a wet/dry job, the battery life based on reviews will last up to the first year, and the absence of replacement batteries available online means that if they break down, you won’t be able to use them until they’re repaired or replaced – not worth the price.
However, it does give you good suction power for small cleanups, especially spills on upholstery or carpeting – just follow the instructions in the manual but always check the included filter because using a HEPA filter on liquid will spoil it.
It will also add the expenses for the HEPA filter because you will need to replace it once a year.
And no, this won’t outperform a Dyson or Hoover because it doesn’t have the attachments or battery technology to do so.
It takes a long time to charge and will only last for 12 minutes.
