One of the major limitations of hand brooms is their access.
It’s a great tool to use as a quick spot cleaning tool. However, an important limitation of the mobile device is its inability to clean floors.
The new BDH2020FLFL solves this problem by adding a floor vacuum extension to the package so you don’t need to go down on all fours to clean floors.
Will this effectively replace the stick vacuum?
Black & Decker BDH2020FLFH Review
The addition of this tool gives users an option to clean dirt on hard floors. However, it is useless on the carpet because it does not have a motorized brush to stir. Some have described this as the best handheld vacuum cleaner, and it’s even better than the top-rated BDH2000FL because it has a floor tool, making it more versatile. I like the flexible hose and onboard tools because they give it more access. The only thing I don’t like is the battery, which is built into the unit so if it breaks you’ll have to buy another portable vacuum cleaner.BUY NOW FROM AMAZON

What do you expect from Black & Decker BDH2020FLFH?
In terms of features, this is similar to the BDH2000FL which I reviewed in the past. The main difference is that this new model has an extension wand as well as a floor attachment that converts this from a handheld vacuum cleaner to a wand.
However, the floor tool does not have a motorized brush, which makes it very limited on carpets.
And oh, it has a bit more suction compared to the previous version.
This appliance has 25 air watts of suction power while the BDH2000FL has 22 air watts.
Attachments and accessories
Comes with four attachments – crevice, 2-in-1 nozzle/brush, pet hair tool, and floor nozzle.
You can attach all the tools on the extension stick, so that this extends reach.
Black and Decker has not specified official charging times, but based on consumer reviews, it will take 4-6 hours to fully charge.
In a review by The Sweet Home, they reported a charging time of 4 hours.
It is easy to empty the dirt tray; All you have to do is pull the latch and then open the door. But emptying it can be messy, especially when there is some moisture where dirt tends to clump.
Staticly charged dirt also tends to stick to interior walls. So you may need to use filters to empty or take out the entire bowl and wash it in the sink.
The good thing about cyclonic filtration is that the filter does not clog quickly.
Back in the review by The Sweet Home, they had to wash it after every two charging cycles.
But judging by what they clean, I would consider it a worst case scenario. It all depends on the type of debris you clean up and how often you use it.
Yes, the filter is washable, so the operating cost will not be high.
the show length
Average uptime, again based on reviews, is about 15 minutes. The guys at Home Beautiful got 16 minutes on a full charge, so expect it to be in the 15 minute range.
It comes with a two-year warranty, which is one year less than Black & Decker BDH2000FL.
bare floor performance
Even with the floor tool, this portable vacuum It is, in essence, a spot cleaning tool. But it is an excellent plus because it allows it to clean floors.
Note, however, that if you’re using a floor tool, that suction will go down a bit based on some consumer reviews.
If you use other attachments, the suction is strong enough to pick up even larger bits of dirt like a Cheerios or pet liter.
This type does not have a motorized brush, so it will not be able to clean carpets.
It will be good enough to clean liquid dirt on surfaces.
All tools that come with this are only usable for cleaning surface dirt.
Pet hair removal
To clean pet hair, the BDH2020FLFL uses a round, textured tool with a hole in the middle.
It is made of rubber. So it will follow the lines of the surface you want to clean.
It is excellent for use on upholstery such as sofas or chairs and even cushions.
Unfortunately, the floor tool does not have a motorized brush that picks up pet hair from the carpet.
It only relies on suction to pick up dirt, so you can’t use it to clean pet hair on carpet.

People love the power of this portable device, saying it’s more than enough for spot cleanings although they note the power drops when the extension wand and floor tool are placed.
Also, the floor tool does not have any brush strokes, which makes it almost useless on carpet. But it is still usable on hard surfaces.
One consumer even mentioned that it is impossible to move this back and forth on the carpet.
Pet owners will find this useful because even without a pet hair attachment, it still has enough power to pick up pet hair with a slit or combo tool.
A pet hair brush will be very useful for upholstery as the contoured rubber tool will adapt to the contours of any sofa or chair.
As with all electronic gadgets, there are some complaints with lemon units with a few consumers complaining about the lack of suction.
Noise is also another issue as many people have complained that it sounds like a lawn mower.
There were several complaints about the manual not being easy to read. Black & Decker should improve this in the future.
In general, consumers liked the portability and versatility that this product offers in the table.
It may not have the strongest suction power, but it is good. It will hold its own even against higher priced mobile devices like Dyson.
Although don’t expect much from a floor tool as it doesn’t have any motorized brush and the long extension wand drains some power.

Verdict: Handheld with some floor cleaning ability
This product is excellent for people who are looking for a manual vacuum cleaner that is light enough to carry around but has an attachment to clean floors without having to bend over.
Would be great for people like me who have some back issues. This is an upgraded version of the BDH2000FL that has a bit more suction and a floor cleaner for cleaning floors and even stairs.
This is a great little tool to use for small messes, especially if you have young children running around.
Note that the floor tool does not contain any motorized brush. So use this only to clean surface dirt. You’ll still need a full-size vacuum cleaner for deep cleaning.
If you don’t need the floor tool, Then BDH2000FL or the BDH2000FL It will be more than suitable alternatives.
An extension wand is useful for cleaning hard-to-reach areas like the ceiling and has enough suction to suck cobwebs and dust bunnies out of the vents, and you don’t even need a ladder to do so.
Overall, this is a very light and lightweight vacuum for light tampering where a full size vacuum cleaner is too cumbersome to take out.
