One of my pets bothers vertical brooms Is the lack of versatility.
Yes, it will be able to deep clean but you will not be able to use it other than for floors.
If you want to clean upholstery or stairs, you will have to buy another machine for that.
It would be nice if more manufacturers followed suit and release detergents with only the “Lift” feature to give the consumer the option to use it as a pack.
Bissell has finally joined shark And it created an empty space Turns into a canister vacuum.
It’s a massive machine – in the vertical position it weighs about 16 pounds.
This is the most important feature that comes with a small robotic attachment for cleaning pet hair from upholstery.
Let’s see how it works in the most important places – inside the homes of the consumer.

What to expect from BISSELL PowerGlide Pet?
Bissell calls this a “lightweight” vacuum But it still weighs 16 pounds.
When compared to one of its competitors – shark navigatorThat still beats him by 3 pounds.
It may not look like much on paper, but that weight increases when you carry it on a tray.
But when compared to heavyweights in the class like the Dyson DC41 that weigh more than 20 pounds, it feels a little light.
One of the best features is the Lift-Off feature that allows users to remove the canister from the vertical base, turning it into a vacuum cleaner.

Be sure to watch the full video to see a demo of floor and carpet cleaning.
You’ll get a glimpse of how to clean the brush roller, filter performance, and more…
This will allow you to use this on carpeted stairs and upholstery – a nearly impossible task with a traditional straight layout.
The tools you will get
However, it only comes with two tools – the long crevice tool and the small pet hair brush. It doesn’t have any extension wand built in, so it won’t be as accessible as the Shark Navigator Lift Away.
It has a brush on/off feature that helps in performing cleaning on carpets. Here’s what a brush roll looks like.

You’ll notice that the brush is wide and has air channels that allow suction to circulate from both sides, even on the side of the cleaner’s head. This, in turn, leads to better edge cleaning – one of the downsides of Shark Navigator.
There is storage in the back for the notch and the motorized small brush.

Weird design that uses rubber flaps instead of bristles which works surprisingly well based on reviews.
bare floor performance
based on a Test done by CNet Compare different vertical vacuums side by side like Electrolux Precision Brushroll Clean, Oreck One Touch, Dyson DC41, Raise the shark roundabout awaythe Eureka AS1104A SectionSeal Pet, the Dyson DC50 Animal and Dyson DC40 Origin, the surprisingly powerful PowerGlid Pet Bagless even against Most expensive brands like Dyson.
On hardwoods, it’s rated mid-pack when it comes to cleaning 2 ounces of Cheerios — picking up 83 percent. But it managed to beat more expensive machines like Rotating Shark Lift Mechanism and Dyson DC50.
When it comes to cleaning sawdust, it scored one of the highest rates in the group picking up 99% of the 2.5 ounces of sawdust scattered over hardwood again beating more expensive brands like Electrolux, Shark and Dyson.
If it has an Achilles heel, the pet hair will be brushed onto the hardwood.
Pet hair will still be coiled up on the motorized brush.
Here is another cleanup test done by VBlogger Ibaisaic. He scattered loads of debris which includes dust bunnies, hair, couscous, and all kinds of things you’d clean inside the house.
After one pass back and forth…
The results were amazing because even without the brush roller, it was able to pick up all the dirt. This includes dirt on the grout area.
There was a little snow falling with the larger dirt particles.
To sum up the performance on the carpet – I picked up more delight on a medium pile carpet than the DC40, DC50 and Shark Pro Lift Away, all three brands are a few hundred dollars more expensive!
It picked up more sawdust on medium and low pile carpeting than the DC50, DC40 Origin, and DC41 Animal.
For an actual head-to-head test, watch this video comparing the performance of Bissell vs. Shark Navigator.
Bissell was able to capture almost everything, even large-sized debris, without plowing it. The Shark Navigator didn’t do well — at least in this test.
Here’s another cleaning test, this time by Ibaisaic on carpets. It’s a big pile of mess that includes hair, couscous, dust bunnies, dust, etc.
After one swipe, here’s the result…
Not bad for a single pass back and forth. But what you don’t see in the picture is the couscous cut.
There are also two lines that represent the brush guard. Stirring is excellent with the robust brush roller design that has its own motor.
This is a close-up of a wreck bouncing back from the massive agitation of the brush…
The stirring was so good that it cleaned almost all the crumbs of dirt scattered on the floor.
There was some stray couscous left but it was able to clean up just about everything.
But Bissell’s biggest weakness is filtering, just look at the filter.
This is a potential deal if you suffer from allergies. Like many upright vacuum cleaners, it doesn’t have an airtight system, so allergens and dust will seep through the exhaust.
Despite the peculiar design of the small motorized tool, it was successful in catching not only pet hair but also other types of debris on upholstery. Using flaps instead of bristles reduces maintenance in terms of having to remove dust or hair.
It also comes with a long range crevice tool if you need to get deep into tight crevices.
Pet hair removal
Again, going back to CNet testing, the PowerGlide performed well at picking up all the 2.5 ounce pet hair scattered on a medium and low-pile carpet, mainly because of the harsh brushing on a motorized brush. I struggled despite picking up pet hair on the hard floor.
Attachments and accessories
Comes only with a pair – the slit and a pet turbo eraser tool.
It has a 27-foot power cord but no rewinding cord.
There are two types of filters in this machine. The main filter is located at the bottom of the case. You will see two pieces of foam, both are washable.
There is a second filter in the engine. This is called a post-engine filter. The post-motor filter is not washable.
If it becomes dirty, remove it, then press the trash can to get any dirt out but you will need to replace it once it becomes very dirty.
To learn how to access these filters, watch this video as well as other maintenance tips.
This appliance does not contain a HEPA filter.
Like Dyson and Shark, it comes with a 5-year warranty

Watch it in action
Logan from VacBin shares the features, how they performed on the rug, and what he likes and dislikes.
Consumers were pleased with the performance on the floor and carpet.
Although it has less suction, the vibration of the motorized brush enables it to pick up more dirt on the carpet than the Dyson (older models like the DC28 are more specific).
Has a tool that works well with pet hair
The turbo pet brush also did well in cleaning pet hair on upholstery and stairs.
On the bare floor, it also performed well, surprisingly contrary to what a CNet review said about this struggle with picking up pet hair on the bare floor – it was the opposite in reviews on Amazon. Consumers said it was effective at picking up pet hair on the bare floor.
It wasn’t all rose and peach, but there were a few features Bissell should consider improving to improve its vertical space. First, the hose is short. Bissell did not specify how long. But CNET says her height was 6.5 feet.
Second, the power cord can be 3 to 4 feet longer – again this is on the consumer wish list.
Third, remember in the video review Logan from VacBin?
He said care should be taken when tapping on the side of the dirt can because its bottom could fall off. Well, one consumer noticed the same thing when he was emptying it, when he clicked on the side the bottom fell off causing a big mess. This could be a design flaw, so this is just a warning.
Rotary steering is not Dyson quality
The rotary steering has received mixed reviews, with some saying it was easy to steer while others say it was tough and not as agile as the Dyson.
Overall, based on consumer reviews I’ve read, this vacuum is a great, cheaper alternative to Dyson upright or Professional Shark Lift If budget is a concern.
But remember that this one won’t spin like the Dyson nor will it be as light in the case as the Shark.

There’s also an optional extended warranty (up to 3 years) if you want that extra peace of mind.
This machine is a great alternative to more expensive ones Professional Shark Headset Lifting Mechanism Offers better carpet cleaning performance based on reviews.
There is no pole
It lacks the Shark’s swivel feature, so maneuverability suffers a bit in portrait mode.
The extension stick I feel is lacking in length so reach is not as good as shark roundabout but the Bissell is cheaper So if that’s not a playoff deal, it’s a good deal.
You should remember that this vacuum is cheaper under $100, so if budget is a concern, this may be for you.
Great for medium to large homes
If you have a medium to large home with a mix of carpet and bare flooring, this machine will do just fine.
It will also do an excellent job of cleaning pet hair as both the brush on the main scrubber and the small turbo brush work well at picking up pet hair on the carpet but they struggle to clean up pet hair on the bare ground so keep this in mind.
Overall, this machine is a good option if you don’t have $200 to $300 to spend on a good vertical that is also capable of cleaning upholstery.
Budgeting for a good carpet cleaning
- Work environment – 92%
- Surface cleaning – 95%
- Quality – 85%
- Design – 84%
- Values - 88%
People who want a less expensive vertical setting should take a look at the Bissell PowerGlide 2763 as it is able to clean carpets and bare floors well. It will do well cleaning small to medium sized dirt but will struggle with larger dirt due to its low clearance. Since it’s a budget option, don’t expect much in terms of filtration as fine dust and allergens will return. If you suffer from allergies, you may want to spend more and go with a closed system like the Shark Rotator NV752.
