Who doesn’t love a good deal?
Today we will be looking for the best vacuum cleaners under $200.
These machines have more refinement and power than the $100 sub-models we introduced a couple of months ago but are slightly more expensive.
If you have $200 to invest (I don’t like to say spend it because it’s an essential tool), any of these lumber would be great options.
The products you’ll see here will be a mix of menus, canister, wireless, etc. so you’ll have to choose something that suits your needs.

Our pick: Shark Navigator Lift-Away NV352
This upright vacuum doubles as a drum vacuum thanks to the Lift-Away feature that separates the floor tool from the body.
Shark calls this feature “Lift Away” and this product is one of the first to implement it.
Versatile like a can
It expands the scope of the broom not only cleaning floors. But also other areas such as stairs, upholstery, vents, ceiling fans, and most parts of your home.
This is one of the main reasons why this product has received such positive feedback on sites like Amazon.
Even at its current price (which is in the $160++ range), it still comes with a full 5-year warranty.
There is no pole
It won’t spin like a Dyson in an upright position. But this feature still helps in terms of maneuverability.
Ease of use, it will work well on both hardwood and carpet as it has a brush on/off feature. Cleaning carpeted stairs will also not be a problem because it has a small motorized attachment.
Here’s what it looks like on the uppercase (left) and case (right) …
Can it be deeply cleaned?
Based on written reviews and videos, it has this potential. But it will struggle with larger debris due to the low profile design.
Expect an icebreaker effect when cleaning things like crushed grain or potato chips.
Shark has addressed this issue with their latest version called DuoClean Powered LiftAway (NV803).
It has the latest “Duo Clean” brush roll that combines a soft roller with a bristle brush that literally pulls up dirt but will cost over $300.
And if you want something just as exciting for less, take a look at DuoClean Rocket. It has the same DuoClean head but has a similar design to the Dyson V6 but much cheaper.
Here comes the best part
This model comes with an extension stick. And when you add in everything up to 37 feet (including the power cord) you can cover a lot of ground here.
When you combine features, tools, and a warranty, this has to be one of the best deals available right now.
Just remember it doesn’t have an LED headlight and it doesn’t have knob controls. If you don’t mind these omissions, this is the cleaner for you.
Affordable deep cleaner: Oreck Commercial XL2100RHS Upright
To make sure your carpet lasts for a long time, it should be deeply cleaned at least once a week so that the sand and dirt don’t rip.
Cheaper than Dyson
If you can’t afford to buy a Dyson upright that easily costs more than $400, take a look at this custom floor cleaner from Oreck.
The Oreck XL2100RHS Vacuum Cleaner is a commercial grade, no frills Oreck upright vacuum cleaner that weighs just 8 pounds!
Oreck keeps it simple
It’s the definition of simplicity. Large suitcase on a motorized head mounted frame.
This is by design to save weight, so don’t expect premium features like rotary steering, LED headlights, etc. This machine will only clean floors.
The big gray bag you see contains the vacuum cleaner packed. Don’t worry about the cost of bags, a pack of 25 will cost you just a shade under $23.
Replace the belt every 6 months
One of my concerns is the need to replace the belt every 6 months. While it shouldn’t be difficult, it does add to the cost of maintenance (add to bag).
No brush roll on/off
Another concern is the lack of a brush stroke on/off feature.
This makes it difficult to use on bare ground except for cleaning small dirt like dust. The low clearance makes it difficult for this product to clean larger debris.
Noise is another concern and may not be the best option for those with young children.
The lack of a headlight LED is another drawback. Oreck makes up for that with great excitement and suction. It’s also the lightest – your back will thank you for that.
Budget upright: Shark Navigator NV105
The Shark Navigator NV105 is another cheaper based lightweight option — under $130 but a bit heavier at 10 pounds.
Cheaper but less versatile
Although it’s cheaper, it’s a little more versatile because it comes with a hose and wand that you can use to clean upholstery and stairs (to some extent). But it doesn’t have any “lift away” feature found in the NV352.
Although, this would make a decent cleaner in medium-sized homes that have a mix of carpet and bare floors because it can clean effectively.
Can it be deeply cleaned?
Somewhat can. But it won’t match a heavyweight like Dyson in terms of suction power. Or a commercial based like Oreck in terms of emotions.
Still in terms of value for money, this vertical position that can fairly clean upholstery and stairs is hard to beat.
Some negatives
If there are downsides to this product, it will be because of the lack of a swivel steer feature, the small dirt cup, the lack of a headlight, and because it’s so lightweight – it will be prone to tipping if you pull the hose too much. .
Budget Caddy: Hoover WindTunnel Bagless Airbag
The canister vacuum cleaner is one of the most versatile cleaners available today because you can use it practically anywhere and it weighs less than a vertical one.
The Hoover WindTunnel is a great option for under $200 – it’s actually under $140!
Motorized brush!
This is one of the rare models that comes with a motorized brush roller.
The presence of a motorized brush roller makes this a better performance on carpets.
More exciting than Dyson
Compared to the Dyson DC39 Origin brushless motor, it’s air powered which means less carpet pickup.
Hoover will be able to outperform any carpet performance test against the Dyson and cost much less!
It has a similar multi-cyclone filtration system in which the filter will last longer without the need for cleaning. Other tools included in the package are the 3-in-1 combo tool and the hard floor brush.
Wireless Option: Black + Decker BDH2020FLFH
Just if you are looking for a handheld radio, the Black & Decker BDH2020FLFH is one of the best options on the market at the moment.
It comes with all the tools you need from a handheld device.
Not only that, they have added a floor vacuum cleaner head that allows floors to be cleaned without bending over.
Great for pet owners
Pet owners will also appreciate the unique design of the pet hair groomer. It uses a rubber ribbed tip that works great on upholstery. Cleaning pet hair on the sofa or inside the car will not be a chore with this handheld device.
The default tool included is a crevice tool and brush combo that will work well in openings and tight areas.
It also has a detachable hose that expands the reach. It will not require users to constantly carry the body. You can leave the body on the ground and take advantage of the 4-foot extension of the hose to drill into the fabric upholstery.
You can use it to clean floors
This variant with the stick vacuum head is more expensive compared to the BDH2020FL model. But this is a good investment if you plan to use this to clean high traffic areas.
The 20v lithium ion battery will run for 15 minutes which means this will only work as a spot cleaning tool.
Versatile and versatile
You’ll appreciate this feature when you just need to clean up spills or dust that’s built up in your bathroom sunroof.
Believe me, you’ll want this feature in those scenarios.
Taking out a heavy vacuum cleaner is the last thing on your mind when cleaning up small messes. This is why these cordless vacuums are a great tool in your home.
to finish
Any of these five vacuums will give you the best bang for your buck if you’re looking for a cleaner under $200.
Why Shark Navigator NV352?
The Shark Navigator NV352 impressed me with its versatility thanks to the Lift Away system. I never thought straight would have such flexibility but kudos to Shark for their innovation.
This is not their best product but it is one of the best value propositions in my book.
People with allergies should go with Oreck
If you suffer from allergies and want something with a bag, Oreck is the best option. You won’t be dazzled by the features but when it comes to cleaning, it works. This is the most important.
The simple, utilitarian design does not have any rotary steering, hose, or even LED headlights. It’s as light as a cordless stick vacuum but just as powerful as a vertical shaft.
It does not have any brush stroke on/off feature, so it is not usable on bare floors. But for people who need a deep cleaning machine on their carpet, this is a great option for under $170.
Cheaper than NV752
The Shark Navigator NV105 is another based option but is less versatile than the Navigator NV352. However it is cheaper and still able to clean over floors. But minus the Lift Away feature that separates the floor tool from the case.
Don’t sleep on Hoover
For people who want similar versatility from the Shark NV352. But you don’t want to spend $170 on the Hoover WindTunnel case being a great second choice.
Since this is a cylinder vacuum cleaner, it will clean multiple areas above the floor thanks to the hose and telescopic wand. The power cord is short though at no more than 17 feet, so this range is limiting.
Wireless option
If you don’t want to bother with wire, take a look at the Black & Decker BDH2020FLFH. It’s one of the best portables out there thanks to its 20V lithium-ion battery, 4-foot hose, and tools that make it a great tag team partner for anyone like Oreck.
Charging the 20V battery takes about 3 to 5 hours and will run for about 15 minutes. There are two versions – the BDH2020FLFH which will cost around $130 and the cheaper BDH2020FLFH which will cost around $50 less.
Overall, you won’t go wrong with any of these, just make sure you pick one that suits your needs.
